LONGMIRE, MARGARET C. - age 79, of Andersonville,
MOORE, JAMES C. - age 82, of Farragut,

LONGMIRE, MARGARET C. - age 79, of Andersonville, passed away Wednesday,
August 21, 2002, at The U.T. Medical Center in Knoxville, after a courageous
battle with cancer for almost three years. She grew up and spent most of her
earlier years in Fountain City and graduated from Central High School. She
attended The University of Tennessee School of Home Economics and later
received her degree from Knoxville Business College. She was a member of
Andersonville United Methodist Church, where she enjoyed singing in the choir
for many years. She was also a member of The Norris Women's Club. She worked
for TVA and The Savannah River Project in Augusta, Georgia, and later was
employed by The Atomic Energy Corporation in Oak Ridge. She retired from TVA
in 1979. Preceded in death by parents, Marshall Blaine and Gladys Collings
Coker, and brother, Marshall Blaine Coker, Jr. Mrs. Longmire was born October
21, 1922, in Norfolk, Virginia. Survivors: husband of 43 years, Paul Longmire
of Andersonville; daughter, Margaret L. Butler of Knoxville; grandchildren,
Madison Margaret Butler and George Andrew Butler of Knoxville. The family
will receive friends 1:30-3:00 p.m., Friday, August 23, 2002, at
Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton with funeral service following at 3:00
p.m., in the chapel with Rev. Don Jones and Rev. Leonard Arnold officiating.
Interment will follow the service Friday at Oak Grove-Longmire Cemetery in
Andersonville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Wellness
Community of East Tennessee, 1844 Terrace Avenue, Knoxville, Tennessee 37916.

MOORE, JAMES C. - age 82, of Farragut, passed away Tuesday afternoon, August
20, 2002, at Blount Memorial Hospital. Jim was a faithful deacon and leader
at First Baptist Church Concord for nearly 40 years until his health began to
fail. He also served FBC Concord as Sunday School Superintendent, and on
numerous Building Committees. Jim served as a B-17 pilot with the 379th Bomb
Group, Kimbolton England, in World War II, and was discharged a Captain from
the United States Air Force Reserve. He retired from Union Carbide K-25 Plant
in 1981 with 36 years of service. Throughout life, he was an avid sportsman
enjoying basketball, baseball, hunting, and dog training. In retirement he
enjoyed hunting and dog training. He was preceded in death by his parents,
Charles E. and Willie Mae Swaggerty Moore and brother, Burl H. Moore.
Survivors: wife of 57 years, Frances Hitch Moore; sons and daughters-in-law,
James A. (Tony) and Karen Moore of Claxton, and Bradley S. and Cathy Moore of
Knoxville; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Joe Ellsworth of Titusville,
Fla.; five grandchildren, Rachel and Rebecca Moore, Josh, Laura and Joseph
Ellsworth; step-grandchild, Rusty Shinpaugh; sister-in-law, Ruth Moore of
Sistersville, W. Va., and two nephews, Stan and Tim Moore. The family will
receive friends from 5 - 6:45 p.m. Thursday with funeral services to follow
at 7 p.m. in the main sanctuary of First Baptist Church Concord with Dr. Doug
Sager and Rev. Steve Peek officiating. Family and friends will gather at 11
a.m. Friday at Middlesettlements Cemetery in Blount County for graveside
services with full Military Honors conferred by the East Tennessee Veteran
Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist
Concord, 11704 Kingston Pike, Farragut, TN 37922. Click Funeral Home,
