KATHERINE WRIGHT DICKISON, 93, of Murrells Inlet, S.C., died Thursday, Aug.
15, 2002, at her home.
Born June 7, 1909, in Edison, Tenn., she was the daughter of T.J. and Mary
Green Wright. She had lived in Kingsport and Johnson City, and in Portsmouth,
Va.
Mrs. Dickison was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church in Johnson City.
She had moved to Murrells Inlet to be near her daughter, Betty L. Longobardi.
Her family described her as a good and loving person who was always putting
others above herself, and who entertained them with her wit.
Mrs. Dickison, a homemaker, was the widow of Niles Dickison.
In addition to her daughter and son-in-law, Pete Longobardi, she is survived
by her daughter-in-law, Anna Dickison of Kingsport; her sisters, Maybelle
Taylor and her husband, J.T., of Church Hill, and Doris Heiniman and her
husband, Stan, of Snellville, Ga.; and her brother, Harry Wright and his
wife, Sonny, of Atlanta, Ga.
Mrs. Dickison is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Annie Wright, Ann
Wright and Dot Wright, all of Kingsport, Mary Dickison of Pleasant Valley and
Zella Tarlton of Greeneville; and her grandchildren, Peter Longobardi of
Poughkeepsie, N.Y., Kathy Ubel of Conway, S.C., Charles Ubel of Beacon, N.Y.,
Dennis Dickison and his wife, Nancy, of Roanoke, Va., and Debbie Diemer and
her husband, Mark, of Oak Ridge.
Also surviving are her great-grandchildren, Peter Longobardi III, Brittany
Longobardi and Kevin Longobardi, all of Poughkeepsie, Deborah Dickison of
Danbury, Conn., Jennifer Dickison of Blacksburg, Va., Jason Ubel of Beacon,
Keith Ubel of Conway and Andrew Diemer of Oak Ridge; and many nieces and
nephews.
In addition to her husband and her parents, Mrs. Dickison was preceded in
death by a son, Niles Dickison Jr.; five brothers, N.M. Wright, Sam Wright,
Claude Wright, Eugene Wright and Luke Wright; a sister, Nelle W. King; and a
grandson, Steven Longobardi.
The funeral was to be held at 2 this afternoon, Aug. 19, in the South Chapel
of Morris-Baker Funeral Home in Johnson City with the Rev. Paul Marchbanks
and the Rev. Richard Diemer officiating.
Burial was to follow at Washington County Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were
to be her nephews: Tim Wright, David Wright, Stewart Davis, Jimmy Summie,
Gary Hale, Bradley Sells, Matthew Sells and Rodney Sells.
The family requests that any memorials be in the form of donations to Incare
Home Health Care, 4685 Highway 17 Bypass, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577; or to the
American Diabetes Memorial Program, P.O. Box 2680, North Canton, OH 29201.

PAUL WILLIAM HEDGES, 57, a resident of Bishop, Ga., and of the Marlow
community, died Thursday, Aug. 15, 2002, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak
Ridge.
Born March 15, 1945, in Dayton, Ohio, he was the son of Paul W. Hedges and
Lilly May Marshall Hedges, who are deceased. He was a United States Air Force
veteran of the Vietnam War.
Mr. Hedges had maintained a home in Georgia for 33 years as well as a home in
the Marlow community. He was retired from Oliver Tire and Rubber Co. of
Athens, Ga.
He is survived by his companion, Carolyn Taylor of Bishop and Marlow; his
daughter, Carol Conner and her husband, William; his son, John Hedges; and
his grandchild, Kelsie Conner, all of Watkinsville, Ga.
Mr. Hedges is also survived by four brothers, Don Hedges, Tony Hedges, Ike
Hedges and David Hedges, all of Ohio; and five sisters, Judy Nelson, Betty
Hedges, Sue Paul, Paula Lantz and Tina Hedges, also all of Ohio.
The funeral was held Friday, Aug. 16, in the chapel of Sharp Funeral Home in
Oliver Springs.
Burial was in Watkinsville.

RAYMOND ROBBINS, 76, of Oak Ridge, died Friday, Aug. 16, 2002, at Fort
Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville, of what his family said were
complications resulting from a fall at work.
Mr. Robbins was born May 30, 1926, in Westburn, Tenn., the son of Samuel and
Cora Wilson Robbins, who are deceased.
He had been employed for the past 14 years in maintenance with Southern
Management & Development L.P.
Mr. Robbins' hobbies included old cars and trucks, his family said.
He is survived by his daughters, Eulene Miller and her husband, Lawrence, and
Tammy Poore and her husband, Robert, all of Clinton, and Sharon Elliott and
her husband, Chuck, of Heiskell; his sons, James Samule Robbins and his wife,
Judy, of Oliver Springs, and Ray Robbins and his wife, Pam, of Kingston; and
by 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Robbins was preceded in death by a
grandchild, Casey McCulley.
The funeral will be held at 8 tonight, Aug. 19, in the chapel of Martin Oak
Ridge Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 20, at Oak
Ridge Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at the funeral home.

CELESTE ST CLAIR RICHARDSON, daughter of Elizabeth B. Richardson of Oak
Ridge, died Saturday, Aug. 17, 2002, at the University of Minnesota Fairview
Cancer Center in Minneapolis.
A memorial service will be held in Minneapolis. Arrangements were incomplete
this morning.
