CAROL CHRISTINE CIPRIANO, 62, of Oak Ridge, died Friday, Aug. 9, 2002, at St.
Mary's Residential Hospice in Knoxville.
She was born Feb. 15, 1940, in Detroit, Mich., and had served with the United
States Navy.
Mrs. Cipriano was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Prior to her
illness, she was a longtime devoted volunteer for Aid to Distressed Families
of Appalachian Counties.
Since 1972, she had also worked very hard in organizing and helping for class
reunions for the Oak Ridge High School classes of 1957, 1958 and 1959. She
was a former member of the Alpha Upsilon Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi.
Mrs. Cipriano retired in 1978 from the Y-12 Federal Credit Union.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Donald J. Cipriano Sr.; her son,
Donald Cipriano Jr. and his wife, Kathie, of Charlotte, N.C.; her daughter,
Catherine Mary "Cathy" Lemmonds of Oak Ridge; her mother, Mary Bernice Fultz
of Oak Ridge; her brother, James Fultz Jr. of Middleton, Idaho; her sisters,
Deborah Ann Harper and her husband, Jack, of Oak Ridge and Michalene Smith
and her husband, Doug, of Knoxville; and her granddaughter, Sara Christine
Lemmonds of Oak Ridge.
Mrs. Cipriano is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Elizabeth Andrews
of Marietta, Ga., Diane Smith, Keith and Christopher Harper, all of
Knoxville, and Jimmy Lee, ReneƩ, Kimberly, Hillary, Dominique and Davis
Fultz; and her sisters-in-law, Jo Ann Perry of Medford, N.Y., and Kathie
Prosapio and her husband, Phil, of Fountain Hills, Ariz.
George and Lucy Cagley of Oak Ridge and Kim LaRosa of Clinton and the "Girls
Night Out Bunch" and Bobbie Hammer of Oak Ridge, were considered special
loving and caring friends.
Mrs. Cipriano was preceded in death by her father, James Davis Fultz Sr., who
died Aug. 7, 1978.
The funeral was to be held at 10:30 this morning, Aug. 12, at St. Mary's
Catholic Church with the Rev. Michael Woods officiating.
Burial was to be at Oak Ridge Memorial Park.
The family requests that any memorials be in the form of donations to Aid To
Distressed Families of Appalachian Counties, P.O. Box 5953, 1051 Oak Ridge
Turnpike, Oak Ridge, TN 37831.

WILLIE FOUST CARDEN, 78, of Lake City, died Saturday, Aug. 10, 2002, at
Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
Mrs. Carden is survived by her sons, Leroy Carden and his wife, Mary, Larry
Carden and his wife, Angela, Lonnie Carden and his wife, Nina, Mark Carden
and his wife, Lisa, and Danny Joe Carden, all of Lake City; and her
daughters, Carolyn McKamey and her husband, Charles, and Patricia Dison and
her husband, Lonnie, also all of Lake City.
She is also survived by her brothers, Vernon Foust and his wife, Shirley, of
Vonore, and Theodore Foust and his wife, Alice, of Lake City; her sisters,
Helen Wilson and her husband, Carl, of Toledo, Ohio, Gladys Cox and her
husband, J.C., of Lake City, Beulah Farmer of Jacksboro and Betty Foust of
Spring City; and by 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 13, at Island Ford Baptist
Church with the Rev. Lonnie Dison and the Rev. Charles Harness officiating.
Burial will follow at Island Ford Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 tonight, Aug. 12, at Cox-Martin
Funeral Home in Lake City
JOSEPJ WILLIAM "Bill" BARGIOL, 72, of Oakdale and director of missions for
the Big Emory Association, died Sunday, Aug. 11, 2002, at St. Mary's
Residential Hospice of Knoxville.
Sharp Funeral Home in Oliver Springs is handling the arrangements, which were
incomplete this morning.
KOHN JOSEPH PINAJIAN, 80, of Oak Ridge, died Saturday, Aug. 10, 2002, at his
home.
Weatherford Mortuary is handling the arrangements, which were incomplete this
morning.
William "Bill" Shipley, 77, of Oak Ridge, died this morning, Aug. 12, 2002,
at the Marshall C. Voss Health Care Center in Harriman.
