ALLRED, MRS. RUBY LEE - age 71 of Huntsville,
EASTER, SCOTT EDWARD - age 37
VANN, MS. ELLA RUTH COX - age 95, formerly of Lake City,

ALLRED, MRS. RUBY LEE - age 71 of Huntsville, passed away on Saturday
evening, July 20, 2002 in the Scott County Hospital. She is the daughter of
the late Fletcher Lee Cross and Esther Lay Allred. She was of the Mormon
faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Archie Allred; parents,
Fletcher Lee Cross and Esther Lay Allred and a brother, Burton Nick Allred.
Mrs. Ruby Lee Allred is survived by the following sons: Charles Jack Cross of
Huntsville, Tenn. and Euel Allred of Oneida, Tenn.; daughters, Bonnie Grissom
of Knoxville, Tenn., Della Lloyd of Huntsville, Tenn., Shirley Crutchfield of
North Carolina, Relia Beggs and Regina Greenlee of Calif.; one adopted
daughter, Wilma Jean Simmons; sisters, Betty Grissom of Maynardville, Tenn.,
Pat Hutson of Scott County, Rital Lay and Judy Crowley of Scott County,
Revonda Cross of NC, Georgietta Moffit of Scott County; 26 grandchildren and
35 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild; and many more relatives
and friends to mourn her passing as well as her pet, Mr. Diamond. Funeral
services for Mrs. Ruby Lee Allred will be conducted on Wednesday, July 24th
2002 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home, with the Rev. Don
Hughett officiating. Burial will follow in the Allred Cemetery. The family
will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday evening from 6-9 p.m. in the
chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home. West-Murley Funeral Home is in charge of
the arrangements for Mrs. Ruby Lee Allred.
EASTER, SCOTT EDWARD - age 37 passed away Sunday July 21, 2002. Scott was a
loving husband and father. He was a member of the Hendersonville First
Baptist Church and a deacon at Robertsville Baptist Church in Oak Ridge. He
was a Professional Engineer and was an Engineering Supervisor with NES. He is
survived by his wife, Kim Easter; daughters, Emily and Lila Easter; parents,
Billy Gene and Geneva Easter; brother, Mike Easter; sister, Karen Easter.
Visitation with the family will be (today) Tuesday July 23rd from 6-8 p.m. at
the Chapel of Hendersonville First Baptist Church, 106 Bluegrass Commons
Blvd., Hendersonville, Tenn. Funeral services will be at the church
Wednesday, July 24, 2002 at 10 a.m. Dr. Glenn Weekley officiating. Honorary
pallbearers will be the Customer Engineering Division of NES. Active
pallbearers will be Nick Thompson, Bart Craver, Robert Winters, Ron Davidson,
Frank Travis, Rick Baca, Kendall Bear and Kerry Crotts. Interment
Hendersonville, Memory Gardens, Hendersonville, Tenn. Cole & Garrett,

VANN, MS. ELLA RUTH COX - age 95, of Chevy Chase, Maryland, recently of
Gaithersburg, Maryland, formerly of Lake City, where she grew up, passed away
Saturday, July 20, 2002, at the Shady Grove Adventist Hospital of Rockville,
Maryland. She was born July 25, 1907, in Lake City, Tennessee. She was a
member of the Trenton Street Baptist Church of Harriman, Tennessee, where she
was very active, sang in the choir and taught Sunday School for many years.
Ella Ruth was a loving mother and grandmother. She is preceded in death by
parents; son, Fred E. Vann and 10 brothers. Survivors: son, Jack Vann of
Chattanooga; daughter, Donna Elizabeth Vann Wood of Gaithersburg, Md., and
grandchildren, Cathy Ruth Vann of Florida, and Jack David Vann of New
Orleans. Visitation 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday, July 25, 2002, at the
Cox-Martin Funeral Home. Funeral service following 8:00 p.m. Thursday, July
25, 2002, at the Cox-Martin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Charles Kelly
officiating. Interment 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 26, 2002, at the Oak Grove
Cemetery, Lake City, Tennessee. Cox-Martin Funeral Home, of Lake City, in
charge of arrangements.
