HARNESS, ROSA LEE - age 95, of Laurel Grove Community,
SHULTZ, CLYDE, SR. - age 81
SVACO, MICHAEL DEAN (MIKE) - age 33 of Jacksboro, Tenn.

HARNESS, ROSA LEE - age 95, of Laurel Grove Community, went home to be with
her Lord on Wednesday, July 3, 2002, at the Methodist Medical Center in Oak
Ridge. She was the oldest living member of Laurel Grove Baptist Church, where
she joined in 1934. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Harness;
sons, Clay and Clayton Harness; grandson, Todd Harness; parents, Isaac and
Martha Brown; sister, Nellie Harness, and brother, Bill Brown. Survivors:
daughters, Betty Davis of Knoxville, Tenn., and Margie Harness of Rendondo
Beach, California; sons, Claiborne Harness and wife, June, of Cleveland,
Ohio, Clifford Harness and wife, Norma, of Laurel Grove Community, and Cliff
Harness and wife, Kay of Lake City, Tenn.; brother, Harce M. Brown, Sr. and
wife, Florence of Bellaire, Ohio; six grandchildren and three
great-grandchildren. Special nephew, Don Harness. Caregivers and special
friends, Pearl Holmes, Esther Parks and Cleta Long. The family will receive
friends on Saturday, July 6, 2002, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Holley
Gamble Funeral Home, in Lake City. Funeral service will be Sunday, July 7,
2002, at 2:00 p.m. at the Laurel Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. David
White and Audrey Goins officiating. Interment will follow the service in the
Laurel Grove Church Cemetery. Holley Gamble Funeral Home, in Lake City, in
charge of all arrangements.

SHULTZ, CLYDE, SR. - age 81 of Clinton, passed away Thursday, July 4, 2002 at
his residence. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. He was a 32nd
degree Mason and a member of Coal Creek Lodge #492. He was a United States
Army veteran with 20 years of service for his country. He was a veteran of
World War II, the Korean Conflict and also the Vietnam War. Preceded in death
by wife, Helen Vandergriff Shultz; parents, Oscar & Mallie McFalls Shultz.
Clyde was born December 21, 1920 in Sevier County, Tenn. Survivors: sons,
Clyde Shultz, Jr. of Clinton, Larry Shultz & wife, Charlotte of Clinton;
daughters, Carolyn Nichols & husband, Charles of Missouri City, Texas, Rose
Marie Fox of Cookville, Lisa Shultz & husband, Randy Redmond of Kingston;
grandchildren, Jeffery Shultz of Centerton, Arkansas, Ryan Nichols of
Houston, Texas, Raven Jakubowski of Cookville; brother, Houston Shultz of
North Carolina; sister, Myrtle Murray of Clinton; several nieces & nephews.;
special canine companion, "Pretty Girl". The family will receive friends 6-8
p.m. Saturday July 6, 2002 at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton with
funeral service following at 8 p.m. in the chapel with Rev. Herschel
Barrington & Rev. Bill McDaniels officiating. Interment will be held 12:30
p.m. Sunday afternoon, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Dutch
Valley. Memorials may be made to Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Maintenance
Fund. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home of Clinton in charge of all arrangements.

SVACO, MICHAEL DEAN (MIKE) - age 33 of Jacksboro, Tenn., formerly of Demotte,
Ind., passed peacefully on Thursday, July 4, 2002. He was of the Baptist
faith. Preceded in death by father, John Svaco. He is survived by parents,
Harold & Joyce Brown, Jacksboro, Tenn.; sister, Kim Hargrove, Knoxville,
Tenn.; step brothers & sisters in law, Dave & Betty Brown, Portage, Ind.,
Dale & Connie Brown, Surprise, Ariz.; step sisters & brother in law, Karen &
Ron Hale, Portage, Ind., Jeannie Pichard and Judy Jones, Phoenix, Ariz.; step
daughter, Danielle Jones, LaFollette; grandfather, Coy Ayers, Jacksboro;
special sister, Terina Brown; special young relative, Brooke Carroll both of
LaFollette; several other relatives and friends. Funeral services 8 p.m.
Saturday July 6, at Cross Funeral Home, Rev. Jimmy Ault and Pastor Norman
Stallings officiating. Interment 1 p.m. Sunday at Woodlawn Cemetery. The
family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Saturday prior to the funeral service.
Cross Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
