HUTTON, KARL FRANKLIN - age 48, of Caryville, passed away Friday, June 21,
2002, at his residence. He worked at Eagle Bend Manufacturing as a Steel
Worker. Preceded in death by
parents, Robert Hutton and Irene Green. Survivors: wife of 16 years, Gena
Hutton of Caryville; daughter, Stephine Hutton of Caryville; son, Robert
Hutton of Caryville; sisters, Carolyn Brinyark and husband, John of Lake
City, and Bobbie Nelson and husband, Estel of Clinton; step mother, Gladys
Moser and husband, Oscar of Lake City, and several nieces and nephews. The
family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., Monday, June 24, 2002, at
Holley- Gamble Funeral Home, with funeral services following in the chapel.
The interment will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, at Woodhaven Memory Gardens.
Holley-Gamble Funeral Home, in Clinton, in charge of all arrangements.

PLUNKETT, ANNE MORENE - age 77 of Clinton, passed away Saturday June 22, 2002
at Briarcliff Health Care Center. She was a member of South Clinton Baptist
Church. Preceded in death by parents, Donald E. Pogue & Anna Vance; husband,
Wilby Allen Plunkett; daughter, Cheryl Lynn Neal and brother, Gene Pogue.
Born February 9, 1925 in Stigler, Oklahoma. Survivors: son, Donald Wayne
Morton of Bowie, Maryland; grandchildren, Matt Morton, Becky & Justin Neal
Rhinehardt; sisters, Margaret Plunkett of Oak Ridge, Alice Ragsdale of
Chelsea, Oklahoma, Mary King of Oktaha, Oklahoma, Ebalenai Moses of Muskogee,
Oklahoma; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 6-8
p.m. Tuesday at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 11
a.m. Wednesday in the chapel with Rev. Clark Brown officiating. the interment
will follow at Woodhaven Memory Garden. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton
in charge of all arrangements.

WILSON, HAZEL L. STEPHENS - age 81, of Clinton, passed away Sunday, June 23,
2002, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Knoxville. She was born January 30,
1921, in Anderson County. She was a member of Edgemoor Baptist Church.
Preceded in death by husband, Ora Lee Wilson, and mother, Robbie Stephens
Hicks. Survivors: cousins, Ruth Milligan of Clinton, June Stephens of
Clinton, Dean Zeka and husband, Jim of Cincinnati, Ohio, Billie Jean Rice and
husband, Bob of Clinton, Robin Burris and husband, Jessie of Clinton, and
Zabrina Burris of Clinton, and a host of other cousins and friends. Special
friend, H. B. Freeman. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 p.m.
Tuesday, June 24, 2002, at Holley Gamble Funeral Home, with funeral services
following at 8:00 p.m. in the chapel with Rev. Lee Kidwell. The interment
will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Zion Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial
contributions may be made to Edgemoor Baptist Church Building Fund, 330 Old
Emory Road, Clinton, TN 37716. Holley Gamble Funeral Home, in Clinton, in
charge of all arrangements.

HESS, BRIAN DAVID - age 18 of Oak Ridge, Tenn., passed away Sunday June 23,
2002 at his home. He loved the outdoors and working on automobiles. He was a
graduate of Oak Ridge High Class of 2002. He is survived by mother, Debra
Verna and step father, Gary of Oak Ridge, Tenn.; father, Eugene Clayton Hess
of LaFollette, Tenn.; 2 brothers, Bradley Hess of Harrogate, Tenn., Kenny
Hess of Oak Ridge, Tenn.; 2 sisters, Brooke Hess of Oak Ridge, Tenn., Casey
Hess of Oak Ridge, Tenn.; grandparents, Henry and Gladys Hamblen of
LaFollette, Tenn.; grandfather, Eugene H. Hess of Saltville, Virginia;
girlfriend, Megan Lay of Clinton, Tenn.; special cousins, Lori Ann Lyles,
Randy Lyles and Shelley Hess; special great aunt and uncle, Lois Jean and
Johnny Baird. Funeral services 2 p.m. Thursday June 27, 2002 at Fincastle
Methodist Church. Burial in Marlow Cemetery. Friends may call from 6-9 p.m.
Wednesday at the funeral home. Harp Funeral Home of Jellico, Tenn. in charge
of arrangements.

NORRIS, MRS. NOLA STAHL HARGIS - age 97 of Wartburg, Tenn., passed away
Sunday, June 23, 2002 at the Lifecare Center of Morgan County. She was a
member of Union Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband,
Harlan Norris; brother, Earl Stahl. She is survived by her son and daughter
in law, Leonard and Mary Helen Hargis of Knoxville; daughter, Lucille
Whetsell of Fayetteville, NC; six grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren;
ten great- great grandchildren; two nieces of Ohio. The family will receive
friends Tuesday June 25, 2002 from 6-9 p.m. at Schubert Funeral Home,
Wartburg. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday 2 p.m. in Union
Church Cemetery with Rev. David Kunsman officiating.

PHILLIPS, OMA - age 86 of Oliver Springs, formerly of the New River
Community, passed away Sunday June 23, 2002. Visitation 6-8 p.m. Monday June
24, 2002 and 6-8 Tuesday, June 25, 2002 at the Cox-Martin Funeral Home.
Funeral service 2 p.m. Wednesday June 26, 2002 in the Cox- Martin Chapel.
Interment to follow the service June 26, 2002 at the Patterson Cemetery in
the New River Community. Cox-Martin Funeral Home of Lake City in charge of
arrangements.
