MACK RICHARD KNIGHT, 48, of Oak Ridge, died Tuesday, May 14, 2002, at Fort
Sanders Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville.
He was born Sept. 30, 1953. in Oak Ridge. Mr. Knight was employed with
Averitt Express Inc. as a truck driver.
His family said he enjoyed building and maintaining fish ponds.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Patricia Greene Knight; his son,
Jason Richard Knight, a freshman at the University of Tennessee; his
daughter, Ashley Elaine Knight, age 15; his mother, Ella Mae Shirley Knight
of Oak Ridge; three brothers, Paul E. Knight and his wife, Claudia, of
Boston, Mass., Ray Knight of San German, Puerto Rico, and Glenn Knight and
his wife, Amy, of Ohio; his sister, Lucia King of Spartanburg, S.C.; and
several nieces.
Mr. Knight's father, Ralph G. Knight Jr., died July 8, 1994.
The funeral was to be held at 3 this afternoon, May 15, in the chapel of
Weatherford Mortuary with the Rev. Graeme Sieber officiating.
Burial was to follow at Oak Ridge Memorial Park.
The family was to receive friends from 2 to 3 this afternoon at the mortuary.

CHARLES A. "Charlie" REEVES Sr., 85, of Knoxville, formerly of Kingston, died
Saturday, May 11, 2002, at Mariner Health of Norris.
Born Aug. 10, 1916, in Gainesboro, he was the son of Sallie Bright and Harlan
Burton Sr. He grew up in Gainesboro and Cookeville and was a 1935 graduate of
Cookeville Central High School. His grandfather, Dr. Charles E. Reeves, was a
noted physician in Jackson County from the early 1900s until his death in
1962. Mr. Reeves moved to Kingston around 1948.
Mr. Reeves was employed with Union Carbide Nuclear Division for more than 34
years before retiring in 1978 from the Oak Ridge K-25 site. He was initially
employed as an instrument maintenance technician, and was a supervisor in the
instrument maintenance department when he retired.
Prior to employment with Union Carbide, Mr. Reeves worked for Lockheed
Aircraft Corp., servicing P-38 aircraft in Ireland during World War II. For a
time, he also worked for radio station WHUB in Cookeville.
He was an avid woodworker throughout his life. His family said he developed
an interest in woodworking while in high school. After retirement, he became
known for his wooden clocks and furniture. His family said the highlight of
his woodworking endeavors was probably the building of an 18-foot cabin
cruiser in the 1960s, which is still being used by his family.
Mr. Reeves was a past president of the Kingston Lions Club and was considered
a driving force behind the creation of Kingston City Park and Southwest Point
Park.
He is survived by three children, Charline Ann of Arlington, Va., Charles A.
Jr. of Farragut and James Clay and his wife, Mary, of Knoxville; his
grandchildren, Charles III "Chip," James Clay Jr. and Aaron Lee and his wife,
Amber; his great-grandson, Cody; and his sisters, Jean Drake of Rock Hill,
S.C., and Margaret Weissman and Mary Frances Ansley, both of Florida.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Reeves was preceded in death by his first
wife of over 50 years, Elizabeth Ensor, and his second wife, Janice Marie;
and his brother, Harlan Burton Jr.
The funeral was held Tuesday night, May 14, in the chapel of Kyker Funeral
Home in Kingston with Charles "Chip" Reeves III officiating.
A graveside service was to be conducted at 11 this morning, May 15, at Roane
Memorial Gardens in Rockwood. Members of the Kingston Lions Club were to
serve as pallbearers.
The family requests that any memorials be in the form of donations to
Kingston Lions Club.

LARY BRYSON, 57, of Kingston, died Tuesday, May 14, 2002, at his home.
He was born July 13, 1944, in Oliver Springs, the son of John Robert and Lucy
Mae Bryson, who are deceased. He had lived in Kingston since 1973.
Mr. Bryson was a member of Iron Workers Local Union No. 384 of Knoxville and
formerly worked as an ironworker at the Oak Ridge Y-12 Plant and for M.K.
Ferguson of Oak Ridge.
His wife, Alice Everette Bryson, died earlier.
He is survived by his daughter, Donna C. Keylon of Kingston; his grandson,
Isaiah Keylon of Kingston; and two sisters, Beatrice Bryson of Cookeville and
Aileen Klinger of Kingston.
Terri Pride was considered a special friend.
In addition to his wife and his parents, Mr. Bryson was preceded in death by
two brothers, Tommy Bryson and Robert Bryson; two sisters, Pearl Redmon and
Juanita McKee; and by a granddaughter, Emily Keylon.
The funeral will be held at 8 tonight, May 15, in the chapel of Sharp Funeral
Home in Oliver Springs. The Rev. Ralph Wilson and the Rev. Mike Pride will
officiate.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 16, at Indian
Creek Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at the funeral home.

WILLIAM "Bill" LEAB, 64, of the New River community of Devonia, died Monday,
May 13, 2002, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
Mr. Leab is survived by three brothers, Roy Lee Leab, Ike Leab and his wife,
Imogene, and Hurstle Leab and his wife, Gladys, all of Lake City; and three
sisters, Dolly Hungate of Clinton, Ruby Kennedy and her husband, Steve, of
New River and Rose Dean Byrd and her husband, Norman, of Wartburg.
The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 16, at Grave Hill Baptist
Church. The Rev. Don Daugherty, the Rev. Murl Phillips, the Rev. Wayne
Phillips and Justin Phillips will officiate. Viewing will be from noon to 1
p.m .
Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight, May 15, at Cox-Martin
Funeral Home in Lake City.

DOSSIE LEE NELSON, 88, of Clinton, died Monday, May 13, 2002, at Methodist
Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
Born March 30, 1914, in Anderson County, she was the daughter of Elbert and
Margaret Williams Rosenbalm.
She was the widow of Burley H. Nelson. The couple had been married for 54
years at the time of his death.
Mrs. Nelson had been a member of Farmers Grove Baptist Church in Clinton
since 1933.
She is survived by three daughters, Thelma Jo Wells and her husband, Warren,
Earldene Miller and her husband, Tom, and Carolyn Johnson and her husband,
Arnold, all of Clinton; and three brothers, Zorrow Rosenbalm and his wife,
Georgia, of Clinton, Fletcher Rosenbalm and his wife, Reva, of Powell, and
the Rev. Jackie "O'dell" Rosenbalm and his wife, Mary, of Luttrell.
Mrs. Nelson is also survived by her grandchildren, Bill Wells of Florida,
Carl E. Cooper of Sunbury, Ohio, Marilyn Collins of Karns, and Burl Wells,
Becky Mounger, Sally Barlow, Kim Daugherty, Pam Clevenger and Cara Foust, all
of Clinton; and 23 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by an
infant daughter, Bobbie Jean Nelson; two other grandchildren, Aimee Johnson
Cates and Donald Lynn Wells; a brother, Avie Rosenbalm; a sister, Flossie
Cox; and an infant brother and sister, J.P and P.L. Rosembalm.
The funeral will be held at 8 tonight, May 15, at Farmers Grove Baptist
Church in Clinton with the Rev. Moss Beets and the Rev. Kenneth Seeber
officiating.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 16, at the
church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at the church.
Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton is handling the arrangements.
