GREEN, EDWARD HIRAM - age 62, of Caryville, pased away Monday, May 1, 2002 at
St. Mary's Medical Center in Campbell County. He was a member of Fordtown
Baptist Church. Preceded in death by parents, Millard and Rosa McKamey Green
and a brother, Fred Phillips. Survivors: son, Eddie Green of Summerville, SC;
daughters, Cindy Flood of Summerville, SC, Teresa Sephish of Jacksonville,
Fla., and Holly Rose Green of LaFollette; 7 grandchildren; 2
great-grandchildren; brother, M.F. Green of LaFollette; sisters, Hazel Wilson
of Caryville, Cloteen Johnson, Flonzie Long and Daisey Greene, all of
Huntsville, Ala. and Juanita Webb of Caryville. The family will receive
friends from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 3, 2002 at Cross Funeral
Home and then proceed to Bullock Cemetery in Caryville for graveside service
and interment at 2:00 p.m., Rev. David Hicks officiating. Arrangements by
Cross Funeral Home.

ORANGE, HARLEY CLAY Sr. - age 82, a resident of Oliver Springs, passed away
Wednesday, May 1, 2002 at his home. Mr. Orange was preceded in death by: his
parents, Luther Mack Orange and Tina Mae Hudnall Orange; by a brother,
Lawrence Mack Orange; and by a sister, Verna Mae O. Jory. Survivors: wife of
60 years, Minta Whittlesey Orange of Oliver Springs; sons, Harley Clay
"Fuzzy" Orange, Jr. and companion Nina Rhudy of Sunbright, Daniel K. Orange
and wife Lulu of Oliver Springs; daughters, Rebecca Dwarshuis and husband
Leonard of Knoxville, Libby Bird of Chattanooga, Kathy Pinkston and husband
Jim of Knoxville; grandchildren, Sherri Michelle Mills, Juli LeCroy, Heather
Tuck, Issac, Chris, Mat and Marianna Bird, Lily Belle, and Rose Marie Orange,
Jake, Josh and Jesse Pinkston, and Mitchell Orange; great-grandchildren,
Jonathan C.C. Mills, Hannah Grace, and Sarah Kate Mills, Jake, and Coby Grey
LeCroy, Ansley Bell Tuck, and Jesse Lee Pinkston; special family, Kelly
Stanifer and children, Lee & Maree; special friends, Jodi Kelley and husband
Eddie of Oliver Springs. Mr. Orange was born June 2, 1919 in Dunbar, KY. He
has lived in Oliver Springs since moving to this area in 1955. He was
graduated from Knoxville High School Class A in 1940. He and his wife kept
Foster children for twenty years. Mr. Orange was a member of the Oliver
Springs First Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and Sunday School
Teacher. He retired from Y-12 after working 37 years. In his earlier years he
served as a scoutmaster with the International Boy Scouts of America. He was
a member of the Atomic Beagle Club. Harley was generous to any soul who
appeared at his door. .At his death, Harley donated acreage to the "Orange
Skies" project to establish an education facility. This educational center is
dedicated to blending of science and spirituality together in love and
harmony which supports the well being of mind, body, and spirit for the
entire community. His family would sincerely appreciate donations to this
project in the memory of Harley Orange. Funeral services will be held Friday,
May 3, 2002 at 8:00 p.m. at Oliver Springs First Baptist Church with Rev.
Tony Rutherford officiating. The family will receive friends at the church
Friday between the hours of 5:00 and 8:00 p.m. Burial and graveside services
will be held Saturday May 4, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. at Oak Ridge Memorial Park.
Sharp Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

REEVE, JOHN THOMPSON - age 85, of Oak Ridge, passed away May 1, 2002 at
Windwood Health Care in Clinton. The family will receive friends from
1:00-2:30 p.m. Sunday, May 5, 2002 with a Memorial Service following at The
first Presbyterian Church, Oak Ridge at 2:30 p.m. Martin Oak Ridge Funeral
Home is in charge of arrangements.

ROGERS, JOHN ALBERT - age 72, a resident of Charlotte, North Carolina, passed
away Thursday, May 2, 2002. Funeral services will be Sunday, May 5, 2002 at
2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Sharp Funeral Home. Friends may call Saturday
between 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. Sharp Funeral Home in Oliver Springs, Tenn. in
charge of arrangements.
