NELLA GARRETT BROWN, 88, of Jellico, died on Sept. 20 at the Jellico
Committee Hospital. She was a member of the West LaFollette Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husbands Clifford E. Garrett and Lee Brown;
parents W.P. and Hester Lansden; sons Edwin J. and Larry W. Garrett; sister
Maude Miller.
She survived by grandson Clifford Garrett of the US Navy of Bremerton, Wash.,
and Jerry Lee Garrett of Lantana, Fla., granddaughters Cathy Lusk of Lantana,
Fla., Edwinia Malo of Palm Beach, Fla., Tammy Giunta of Margate, Fla., Pamela
O'Nell of Coral Springs, Fla., and several great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Sept. 22 at Martin Wilson Chapel with Rev. Tom Campbell
officiating. Interment was at Woodlawn Cemetery.

DONALD DOUGLAS, 63, of Harrogate, died on Sept. 23 at Tri-State Manor. He was
a member of New Tazewell Church of God.
He was preceded in death by parents George and Paralle McDougal Douglas and
baby Jimmie Lee; brothers Edward and Robert Douglas.
He survived by wife Betty McNew of Harrogate; daughters Tammy Ellison of
Speedwell, Vatanda McNew of Tazewell, Donna Cohea of Gainesville, Fla.,
Sherry Berry of New Tazewell, Tara Douglas of Speedwell; brother Rev. Samuel
Gene and Delphine Douglas of Johnson, Fla.; sisters Alma Dean Rains of
Speedwell, Wanda West of Speedwell, Mary Diehl of Dover, Del., and Rebecca
Moses of Monroe, Mich.
Funeral services were at Reece Valley Chapel with Rev. Larry Little and Rev.
Gerald Warf officiating. Interment was in Irish Memorial Gardens.

LARRY WAYNE FUSTON, 46, Jellico, died on Sept. 21 at his home.
He is survived by mother Clara Collins of Jellico; brothers Matthew Fuston
Jr. of Jellico, Ernie Fuston of Pioneer, Everette Fuston of Chicago Ill,
Jerry Fuston of Jellico, Paul Fuston of LaFollette, Leroy Brock of Jellico,
Lawrence Brock of Newcomb; sisters Eva Rose of Houston, Texas, Betty Meeks of
Toledo, Ohio, Sylvia Lee of Williamsburg, Ky.
Funeral services were Sept. 24 at the Harp Funeral Home Chapel with Rev.
Jerome Walden officiating.

PAULINE GOINS, 77, of LaFollette, died on Sunday, Sept. 23, at the St. Mary's
Medical Center of Campbell County. She was a member of the Glade Springs
Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by husband William Goins; son Jeffery Goins;
parents Andrew and Neoma Edmond Starrett; brother Leon Starrett; sisters
Floetta Starrett, Bobbie Mattie.
She is survived by son David Goins; son Steve Goins of LaFollette; daughter
Debbie Goins of Jellico and four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren;
brothers Kenneth Starret and A.J. Starret of LaFollette; sister Hazel Boles.
Funeral services were Sept. 25 in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home
with Rev. Larry Watts and Rev. Don Reynolds officiating. Interment was at
Woodlawn Cemetery.

MAE HOUSLEY, 71, of LaFollette, died on Sept. 23 at Fort Sanders Park West
Medical Center. She was a member of the Victory Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by daughter Joyce Addison.
She is survived by husband James E. Housley of LaFollette; sons Billy Addison
of Alabama, Larry and Terry Addison, both of Florida; daughters Glory Jean
Shoupes of Washington State; step-daughters Lesa Albright of Griffin, Ga.,
Andrea Storm and Gina Woods, both of Hampton, Georgia; brothers Leonard Heard
of LaFollette and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services at Walters Chapel with Rev. Howard Goins and Rev. J.R. Kitts
officiating. Interment was at Well Springs Cemetery.

TOMMY WAYNE HEATHERLY, 48, of Cleveland, Ohio, formerly of LaFollette, died
on Sept 13 at his home in Columbus.
He was preceded in death by father Tom Heatherly.
He is survived by daughter Heather Heatherly; son Sean Heatherly; mother
Glenna McNeely Heatherly all of Cleveland Ohio; grandmother Gladys Heatherly
of LaFollette.
Funeral services were Sept. 20 in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home
with Rev. David Shepherd and Rev. Gene McNeely officiating. Interment was at
Cumberland View Cemetery.

KENNETH E. (Kenny) IVEY, 56, of Jellico, died on Wednesday, Sep. 19 at his
home.
He was a decorated veteran of the U.S. Army and member of the Masonic Lodge
#527 F&AM.
He was preceded in death by father, Bill Ivey; grandparents, Ike and Mae
Bowlin; grandfather, Zeal Ivey and brother Bobby Ivey.
He is survied by his wife Kathy Ivey of Jellico; two daughters, Teresa
Argiropoulas of Chicago, Ill, Susan Ivey of Knoxville; mother Roberta Ivey of
Jellico; four brothers, Billy Gene Ivey, James Ivey, Tommy Ivey, and Danny
Ivey all of Jellico; four sisters Rose Hackler, Margaret King, and Jamie
Ivey, all of Jellico, Vickie Todd of Williamsburg, Ky; and grandson Justin
Ivey of Chicago.
Funeral services were held Sept. 22 at the Mountain Assembly Church of God
with Rev. Jerome Walden and Rev. Ozell Bunch officiating. Interment in the
Douglas Cemetery. Military honors were conducted by the Campbell County Honor
Guard and Masonic services.

DORSEL LEE JONES, 64, of LaFollette, died on Sept. 19 at the Methodist
Medical Center of Oak Ridge. He was a member of the Coolidge First Baptist
Church.
He was preceded in death by parents Wile Bill and Lillie Mae Strunk Jones.
He is survived by wife Janet M. Jones of LaFollette; sons Gregory Lee Jones
of Hillsboro, Ohio, Richard Allen Jones of Jacksboro; brothers Billy K. Jones
of LaFollette and several grandchildren.
Funeral services were on Sept. 22 at the Coolidge First Baptist Church with
Rev. Casper Tip Moore and Rev. Lynn Ray officiating. Interment was in Baker's
Forge Cemetery.

AMANDA CAROLYN MCGHEE, 62, of LaFollette died Sunday, Sept. 16, at Fort
Sanders Park West in Knoxville. She was a member of Indiana Ave. Baptist
Church.
She was preceded in death by parents Clifford and Mary Katherine Longmire
Horne; sister Dorothy Wright; brothers James, Henry, Billy, and Charles Horne.
She is survived by daughter Michelle Smith of LaFollette, Pamela McNeal;
sister Mildred Pitt of Knoxville, Wilma Jean Pitt of Knoxville, Mary Lee
Horne of LaFollette and grandson Alex Longmire and granddaughter April
Longmire.
Funeral services were Tuesday, Sept. 18, in the chapel of Martin Wilson

ROY MILLARD MYERS, 75, of LaFollette, died suddenly on Sept. 22 at his home.
He was a member and deacon of First Independent Baptist Church and Jacksboro
Masonic Lodge #322 F& AM. He was a veteran of WWII and a retired maintenance
supervisor with Lincoln Brass.
He was preceded in death by parents Millard and Cora Kelly Myers and
stepmother Nelle Norwood Myers.
He is survived by wife Collen Meredith Myers of LaFollette; sons Mike Myers
of LaFollette, Rick Myers of Jacksboro; daughter Cora Deavours of LaFollette;
twin Brother, Ray Milton Myers of LaFollette; sister Charice Myers Howard of
LaFollette; half-brother George Myers of Townsend; half-sister Margaret Myers
Walls of Beaumont Tex., and several grandchildren.
Funeral services were Sept. 24 at First Independent Baptist Church with Rev.
Howard Tapp and Rev. Carl Edwards officiating. Interment was at Campbell
County Memorial Gardens with Campbell County Honor Guard.

IDA WELCH HENEGAR ROBERTSON, 95, of Speedwell died at her home on Sept. 24,
She a member of Haynes Flat Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by parents Bill and Alice Welch; husband
LouisHenegar and Lon Robertson; sons Lonnie Henegar of Kalamazoo, Mich., and
Louis Henegar of Appalachian ,Va., daughter Dola Giffen of Lapeer, Mich.;
grandson Bill Frick of Speedwell.
She is survived by son Ed Henegar of Battle Creek Mich., daughters Jewell
Frick of Speedwell, Thelma Edson of Felda, Mich., Jackie Schriber of Lum,
Mich., and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and great-great
children.
Funeral services were Wednesday at Reece Funeral Home and Valley Chapel with
Jerry Schriber and Bob Owens officiating. Interment was at Robertson Cemetery.

LEON JERRY TEAGUE, 81, of Jacksoboro, died on Monday Sept. 24 at St. Mary's
Medical Center of Campbell County. He was a member of an East Jacksboro
Baptist Church and a veteran of WWII.
He was preceded in death by wife Edna (Layne) Teague.
He is survived by daughter Jerrie Baird of Jacksboro; grandson Timothy Baird
of Jacksboro.
Funeral services were Sept. 27 at Woodlawn Cemetery with Rev. Jimmy Ault
officiating and military honors by the Campbell County honor Guard. Memorials
may be made to the Gideons.

SAMUEL "Jobbie" TEAGUE, 60, of Flowery Branch, formerly of Clairfield, died
on Sept. 20 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center of Gainesville Ga.
He was preceded in death by parents John and Bessie Sowders Teague and a
veteran.
He is survived by wife Joyce Teague of Flowery Branch Ga., son Stacey Teague
of Aipharetta Ga., sisters Joy Coffee, June Hatfield, both of Clairfield,
Frances Cobb of Frakes Ky., Judy Powell of Tullahoma, Lucille King of
Cumberland Gap, Ellen King of Sidney, Ohio; brothers Raymond Teague of
LaFollette, James Teague of Sidney, Ohio.
Funeral services were on Sept. 24 at the Cox and Son Chapel with Rev. Roy
Davis officiating. Interment in the Odd Fellow Cemetery.

CARL KENNETH WILLIAMS, 65, of LaFollette, died on Sept. 23 at St. Mary's
Medical Center of Campbell County. He was a member of the Glade Springs
Baptist Church and a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by daughter Pamela Williams; parents Hubert and Rose
Williams.
He is survived by wife Jerrylene Williams of LaFollette; sons Carl Kenneth
Williams Jr., Darrell Williams and Ricky Williams, all of LaFollette;
daughters Sherrylene Williams of Jacksboro, Charlotte King of Duff, Barbara
Hembree of LaFollette, Carlene Brown and Karen Lee, both of Jasper; sisters
Midred Humphrey and Bonnie Humphrey; brothers Fred Williams and Glen
Williams, all of LaFollette and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Sept.16 at Walters Chapel with Rev. Don Reynolds and
Rev. Larry Watts officiating. Interment was in the Williams Cemetery with
military honors by Campbell County Honor Guard.

Rev. CHARLES WILLIAMS, 78, of LaFollette, died on Sept. 22 at the U.T.
Medical Center of Knoxville. He was of the Baptist Faith. He was a WWII
Veteran.
He was preceded in death by wife Helen Benge Willams; son Lawrence Williams
and parents Drake and Minnie Hale Williams; brother Frank Williams.
He is survived by sons Ted Williams of Jacksboro and Charles Frank Willams
and David Williams, both of LaFollette; daughters Carolyn Gibson, Charlene
Sanders and Diane Davis, all of LaFollette, Gail Perkins and Patsy Ward, both
of Jacksboro; sister Novella Smith of LaFollette and several grandchildren
and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were on Sept. 24 in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home
with Rev. Charles Wilson and Rev. Jimmy Griffth officiating. Interment was in
Bakers Forge Cemetery with full military honors by the Campbell County Honor
Guard.
