HAYES, POLLY R. - age 82, of Clinton, passed away on Tuesday, September 4,
2001 at Ft. Sanders Parkwest Hospital. She was a member of Centerview Baptist
Church. Preceded in death by: her husband, Andrew Hayes and a brother, James
Andrew Richards. She is survived by: 1 son, Robert Richards of Powell; 2
daughters, Peggy Johnson of Knoxville and Helen L. McMinn of Texas; 2
brothers, Earl and Cliff Childress both of Anderson Co.; 11 grandchildren and
19 great-grandchildren. Also several nieces and nephews and many other family
and friends. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday,
September 7, 2001 at the Woodhaven Funeral Home in Claxton. Services will be
conducted at 2:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 8, 2001 at the Woodhaven
Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Sammy Thompson will officiate. Burial will be
at the Woodhaven Memorial Gardens. Weaver Funeral Home is in charge of
arrangements.

RUSSELL, CHARLES EDWARD - age 73 of LaFollette, passed away Thursday morning,
Sept. 6, 2001 at his home. He was a member of Glade Springs Baptist Church,
US veteran. Preceded in death by parents, Ed C. & Oma Sexton Russell;
sisters, Willie Phillips & Glennis Hughett; and brother, Roy Russell.
Survivors: wife, Helen Paul Russell, LaFollette; son & daughter in law, Bobby
& Robin Russell, LaFollette; daughters & sons in law, Becky & Quinton
Harness, LaFollette, Brenda & DeWayne Robbins, Jacksboro, Mary Jane & Brian
Roark, Caryville; 6 grandchildren; brothers, Clyde Haynes Russell, Norfolk,
Va., James Virgil Russell, Cincinnati, Ohio; sister, June Tharpe, Cincinnati,
Ohio. Funeral service 2 p.m. Saturday, Glade Springs Baptist Church, Rev.
Larry Watts, Rev. Don Reynolds officiating. Interment, Glade Springs Cemetery
with military honors by Campbell Co. Honor Guard. The family will receive
friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at Cross Funeral Home. Arrangements by Cross Funeral
Home.
