JOAN ELIZABETH SADOWSKI, 74, of Roseville, Mich., died Friday, Aug. 24, 2001
at Farragut Health Care Center in Farragut.
Born on July 4, 1927, she was the daughter of Louis and Emily Ach Hrdlovich,
who are deceased.
Mrs. Sadowski came to Oak Ridge for an extended visit with her daughter and
family. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Barnabas Catholic Church in
Eastpointe, Mich.
She is survived by her husband, Edmund J. Sadowski; her daughter, Veronica S.
Maziasz and her husband, Philip J., of Oak Ridge; two sons, Jeffrey A.
Sadowski and his wife, Susan, of Birmingham, Mich., and Steven L. Sadowski
and his wife, Teresa, of Ipswich, Mass.; two brothers, Alfred Hrdlovich of
Fayetteville, N.C., and Rinehart Hrdlovich and his wife, Doreen, of Port
Huron, Mich.; three sisters, Magdaline Hrdlovich of Kerrville, Texas, Emily
Baker and her husband, Rodney, of Sturgis, Mich., and Teresa Rose Williams of
Saginaw, Mich.
She is also survived by 10 grandchildren: Andrew Maziasz of College Station,
Texas, Matthew Maziasz and Jonathan Maziasz, both students at Oak Ridge High
School, Emily Maziasz, a student at Jefferson Middle School, Bradley
Sadowski, Alexander Sadowski, Michael Sadowski all of Birmingham, Mich., and
Steven L. Sadowski, Thaddeus Sadowski and Jack Sadowski, all of Ipswich,
Mass.; and by several nieces, nephews and other relatives
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 31, at St. Barnabas
Catholic Church in Eastpointe, Mich.
The family requests any memorials be in the form of donations to St. Mary's
Catholic Church, 327-A Vermont Ave., Oak Ridge, TN, 37830.

CHARLES STEVEN GAYLOR, 57, of Oliver Springs, died Friday, Aug. 24, 2001, at
Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville.
Mr. Gaylor was born May 22, 1944, in Oliver Springs, the son of Alice Davis
Gaylor of Oliver Springs and James Lavaughn Gaylor, who is deceased.
He had lived in the Oliver Springs area all of his life and was a member of
New Fairview Baptist Church.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Gaylor is survived by his wife, Lola Gaylor;
three children, Charles Wayne Gaylor, Steven Lavaughn Gaylor and his wife,
JoAnn, Andrea Leigh Gaylor, all of Oliver Springs and Amanda Bookout and her
husband, Jason, of Lenoir City; five grandchildren, Lyndsay Gaylor, Zachary
Gaylor, Austin Gaylor, Matia and Cody; a sister, Brenda Haney and her
husband, Roy, of Oliver Springs; and several other family members.
A memorial service will be held at 7 tonight, Aug. 27, in the chapel of Sharp
Funeral Home in Oliver Springs with the Rev. Kenneth Stubbs officiating.
The family requests any memorials be in the form of donations to a charity of
the donor's choice.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 tonight at the funeral home.

HOBART LEE GOLDEN, 86, of Clinton, died Thursday, Aug. 23, 2001, at St.
Mary's Medical Center in Knoxville.
Mr. Golden was a retired supervisor from the Oak Ridge Y-12 Plant operated by
Union Carbide Nuclear Division, where he worked for 34 years.
He was the son of James C. and Martha Massengill Golden.
He attended South Clinton Baptist Church.
Mr. Golden is survived by his wife of 63 years, Lois Mitchell Golden; two
daughters, Karen Cary and her husband, Wayne, of Marshall, Texas, and Pam
Rainey and her husband, Joe, of Clinton; four grandchildren, Gina Raby and
her husband, Kenny, of Clinton, Kristy Rouillard and her husband, Jamie, of
Lexington, S.C., Christopher Cary and his wife, Nikki, of Naperville, Ill.,
and Brian Cary of Marshall, Texas; and three great-grandchildren, Jennifer
Raby, Nicholas Raby and Morgan Cary.
He is also survived by a brother, Leon Golden and his wife, Delores, of
Clinton; four sisters-in-law, Louise Golden and Mary Havens, both of Clinton,
Alma Golden of Lake City and Liz Lumbert and her husband, Gene, of Heiskell;
and a brother-in-law, J.C. Mitchell and his wife, Sue, of Andersonville.
Martha Fellers of Clinton, Jim Fellers of Powell, Bob and Jo Ann Williams of
Claxton and friends at South Clinton Baptist Church were considered special.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Golden was preceded in death by a son,
Stanley M. Golden, and six brothers and three sisters, Charlie Golden,
Clarence Golden, Gid Golden, Dave Golden, Harve Golden, Cecil Golden, Stella
Starke, Bertha McKamey and Naomi Cox.
The funeral was held Sunday night, Aug. 26, in the chapel of Holley-Gamble
Funeral Home in Clinton with the Rev. Larry Potter and the Rev. Don Thomas
officiating.
A graveside service was to be conducted at 10:30 this morning, Aug. 27, at
Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Clinton.

JOHN CLARK, 66, of Heiskell, died Friday, Aug. 24, 2001, at his home.
Mr. Clark was born June 2, 1935, in Glade Spring, Va., the son of John and
Myrtle Holloway Clark, who are deceased.
He was retired from Jacob Creek & Flagstone Co., in Denton, N.C., where he
worked as a heavy equipment operator.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia Williams Clark; three daughters, Susan
Moore and her husband, Stacy, Janice Stringfield and her husband, Kenneth,
and Judy Wolfenbarger and her husband, Dale, all of Heiskell; his stepson,
Billy Grisham of Heiskell; eight grandchildren, Kristy, Heather, Wendy,
Alicia, Stephanie, Brittany, Michael and David; and a sister-in-law, Edna
Clark of Winston Salem, N.C.
The funeral will be held at 2 today, Aug. 27, in the chapel of Holley-Gamble
Funeral Home in Clinton with the Rev. Jerry Walton and the Rev. Leon
Wolfenbarger officiating.
Burial will follow at Wolf Valley Baptist Church Cemetery.
