GEORGE RAYMOND "Ray" PHILLIPS, 81, formerly of Clinton, died Tuesday, Aug.
14, 2001, at Briarcliff Health Care Center in Oak Ridge.
Born Dec. 31, 1919, in Perry County, Ky., he was the son of Inman and Cressie
West Phillips, who are deceased.
Mr. Phillips was retired from Rust Engineering in Oak Ridge. He was a
Baptist.
Mr. Phillips is survived by his daughter, Carolyn Bradley and her husband,
Richard, of Clinton; two sons, Carl E. Foust and his wife, Doris, of
Knoxville, and Fred Foust and his wife, Norma, of Kirkland, Wash.; five
grandchildren, John C. Foust, Fred Foust, Jack Foust, Carla Foust and Phillip
Bradley; and six great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by a sister, Inzia Provenzia and her husband, John, of
Knoxville; a brother, Conway Phillips and his wife, Peggy, of Dayton, Ohio;
and a niece he considered special, Kelli Dahl of Knoxville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth
Phillips, a grandson, Michael Ray Foust, and several other sisters and
brothers.
The funeral will be held at 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 17, in the chapel of
Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton. The Rev. Fred Long Jr. will officiate.
A graveside service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, at
Sunset Cemetery in Clinton.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
BETTY JANE PERRY DOVE, 71, of 5420 Kalmia Drive, Orlando, Fla., died Tuesday,
Aug. 14, 2001, at Johnson City Medical Center Hospital in Johnson City. She
had been in declining health.
Mrs. Dove was a native of Carter County, the daughter of Joseph Lawrence and
Celestine Dorthea Shell Perry, who are deceased.
She was a homemaker and a member of Parkway Baptist Church in Orlando.
Mrs. Dove is survived by her husband, Lester J. Dove; her son, Tommy Dove of
Roan Mountain; her daughter, Deanna L. Dove of Orlando; two sisters,
Geraldine Rinderer of Oak Ridge and Lou Smiddy of San Jose, Calif.; and three
brothers, Lewis Walker Perry of Oakdale, William Perry of Sarpao, Fla., and
Thomas L. Perry of Merritt Island, Fla.
She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and
grandnephews.
The funeral will be held at 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 17, in the Rhododendron
Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home in Roan Mountain.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, at Perry
Cemetery in Roan Mountain. Pallbearers will be selected from among family and
friends. Family and friends will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home
to proceed to the cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

WILLIAM M. BOUCHER, 68, of Oak Ridge, died Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2001, at
Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
Weatherford Mortuary is handling the arrangements, which were incomplete this
morning.
