HUGO BOENDER, 68, of Clinton, died of cancer on Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2001, at
Mariner Health of Norris.
Born July 27, 1933, in Pangkal-Pinang, on the island of Banka in Indonesia,
he was the son of Mattheus and Johanna Maasbach Boender, who are deceased.
Mr. Boender had retired after 33 years of service as a nuclear inspector with
Hartford Steamboiler Inspection and Insurance Co.
He enjoyed reading, walking and listening to classical music.
Mr. Boender is survived by his wife of 33 years, Mary I. Boender; his
daughter, Lisa Smith and her husband, Robert, of Oak Ridge; his
grandchildren, Nathan, Natalie and Natasha; and two brothers and a sister,
Rudy Boender, Bob Boender and Lennie Boender, all of the Netherlands.
The funeral was to be held at 2 this afternoon, Aug. 3, in the chapel of
Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Fox officiating.
Burial was to follow at Anderson Memorial Gardens, 640 Oliver Springs
Highway, Clinton.
The family was to receive friends from 1 to 2 this afternoon at the funeral
home.
WILLIAM MUSICK, 74, of Oak Ridge, died Thursday, Aug. 2, 2001, at Medical
Park Hospital in Hope, Ark.
Weatherford Mortuary is handling the arrangements, which were incomplete this
morning.
