CLAUDE LOLO CURNUTT, 88, of Jacksboro, died Tuesday, July 31, 2001, at his
home.
Born July 6, 1913, in Anderson County, he was the last surviving child of the
10 children of Cape and Fannie Moody Curnutt, who are deceased.
He was a retired iron worker with 25 years of service with McGraw
Construction Co., in Middletown, Ohio. He was a member of the Iron Workers
Union Local No. 290.
Mr. Curnutt attended Cedar Hills Baptist Church in LaFollette.
He is survived by his wife, Lillian Beets Curnutt; his daughters, Clara Dison
and her husband, Clarence Dison Jr., of Jacksboro, and Betty Lou Carrier and
her husband, Herman Carrier, of Bluff City; his grandchildren, Cliff Carrier
of Stewart, Fla., Barry Carrier and Cynthia Bishop, both of Bluff City, and
Chanie Organ, Donald Organ, Stephen Dison and Cheryl Dison, all of Franklin,
Ohio; and by eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, in the chapel of
Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton. The Rev. Jeff Evans will officiate.
Burial will follow at Sinking Springs Cemetery in Clinton.
The family requests that any memorials be in the form of donations to the
Pairs & Spares Sunday School Class, Cedar Hill Baptist Church, 636 Demory
Road, LaFollette, TN 37766.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
