TALLENT, MARY L. - age 71, of Clinton, passed away Wednesday, July 18, 2001,
at Mariner Health Care Center. She was a member of Church of God of Prophecy
in Clinton. Preceded in death by husband, Charlie Lloyd; parents, John and
Sara Catherine Carter. Born August 1, 1929, in Anderson County. Survivors:
son, Calvin Lloyd and wife Brenda of Clinton, Joe Lloyd of Cincinnati, Ohio,
and Harry J. Tallent and wife Debbie of Aurora, Indiana; daughter, Linda
Idles and husband Vick of Andersonville; eight grandchildren and six
great-grandchildren; sister, Martha Taylor of Clinton; brother, Cornelius
Carter of Clinton, and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive
friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday, July 19, 2001, at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday at Church of God of Prophecy in
Clinton with Rev. Franklin Massengill and Rev. Tim Massengill officiating.
The interment will follow at Anderson Memorial Garden. Holley-Gamble Funeral
Home, in Clinton, in charge of all arrangements.
