I have finally traced the Clotfelter's back to 1540 in Switzerland to Pa., to NC., to Tn. First of all her name is Maggie (nickname) Coltfelter (mispelled) on the headstone and I should have been searching for Minervah Jane (Maggie) Clotfelter, not Coltfelter!! I still need to find anything/everything about the grandfather JAMES J. ELLIOTT's history. I am at a dead end? Help???
