Bonnie, Nancy is the daughter of William Chapman and
Elizabeth Fisher d/o Barksdale Fisher out of Pittsylvania Co
Virginia, you will find Bazil Fisher in Clairborne someone
told me around 1840-150. William Chapman is the son of
Robert and Elizabeth, that is the root in 1830 CC Census
online you will find them. There are two Williams in this
family. The one mentioned above and William Chapman
that married Delilah Spencer out of Maryland, do not know
her parents. Nancy Chapman looks to have 11 brothers
and sisters. There is a question on Leanner maybe you
can clear that one up I do have a website for her line.

9 children are born to them:

Ms. Snedeger compiled info from 1850, 1860, 1870, 1880
CC TN Census She states that there were possibly other
children but this is proven.

Now Nancy's siblings: William Chapman born ca 1796 VA
died before 1850 CC TN I do have a copy of the marriage
license April 1816 consent given by father Barksdel Fisher for
his daughter Elizabeth to marry. Robert gave consent for
his son William to marry. also witnessed by Margaret
Chapman Kidd (Moses Kidd, her husband) and Thomas
Chapman William's brother and sister.

Rebecca born 1831 lived on Cedar Creek sold land
to John Housley, she had three children by John Housley
(I have a website for this one too, Jack Housley)
She had some children with Alvis Kincaid
I don't know that anyone knows who all the children belonged
to, she had 10 all together and was not nor ever married
John Housley raised his three when he found the relationship
out with Kincaid. John Housley is on Campbell County website, he married Nancy Riggs but he also had children
with Carolyn Woods

Barnes , Ida Bell mar. Thomas Eli Robinson ended in divorce.

She state that William Chesley never used his middle name
always signed records and papers as W.C. Chapman or William C. Chapman It was only through his son George
that his second name was ever known.

William and Elizabeth died before 1850
Elizabeth or Betty Chapman was found in 1850 census
living with William and Elizabeth Walker. Court records
show that allowances are ordered to be paid to William Walker Sr. for keeping Elizabeth from 7 Apr 1845 to 7 Apr 1846.

Thank you for your information Ms. Snedeger didn't know
to much about Sarah, however, she has a picture in the
book of her.
