COCHRAN, JOHN ALEXANDER - age 81, of Clinton, passed away Friday July 13,
2001 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Knoxville. He attended Tennessee
Wesleyan College. He graduated from OCS with commission as aircraft
engineering officer at the Army Air Corps training school at Yale. He
continued in Air Force Reserve until retirement in January 1972 with rank of
Lt. Colonel. He served on the Research and Development staff at both Patrick
Air Force Base & Elgin Air Force Base. He retired from Union Carbide as a
chemical supervisor with 36 years of service. He enjoyed woodworking, stained
glass making & photography. Preceded in death by parents, William Marshall &
Attiebee Williams Cochran; sister, Margie Cochran. John was born November 27,
1919 in Athens, Tenn. He was married to Nadine Alexander on June 26, 1948.
Survivors: wife of 53 years, Nadine Alexander Cochran of Clinton; children,
Alex Cochran & wife, Pam of Oakland, NJ, Steve Cochran & wife, Nancy of
Redondo Beach, Calif., Becky Linville & husband, Stan of Murfreesboro, Dan
Cochran & wife, Amy of West Lafayette, Ind.; granddaughters, Julie, Jeannie &
Jody Cochran; grandson, Andy Linville. The family will receive friends 2-4
p.m. Sunday July 15, 2001 at Memorial United Methodist Church in Clinton with
funeral service following at 4 p.m. in the chapel with Rev. Don Thomas & Rev.
Carl Glasow officiating. Interment will be held 10 a.m. Monday July 16, 2001
at Oak Ridge Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to
Memorial United Methodist Church, 323 North Main Street, Clinton, Tenn.

DILBECK, JULIE - age 90, of LaFollette, passed away Thursday evening, July
12, 2001 at the LaFollette Community Nursing Home. She was a member of the
Community Church of God Bruce Gap. Preceded in death by husband, Thomas
Dilbeck and parents, Henry and Laura (Ford) Madison. Survivors: sons, David
Dilbeck and Junior Dilbeck, both of LaFollette, Tommy Dilbeck of Dayton,
Ohio; daughters, Dena Jones and Mary Rutherford both of LaFollette, Renda
Riggs, Vasper; 22 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great
grandchild. Funeral services 2 p.m. Sunday, July 15, at Cross Funeral Home,
Rev. Earl Powers, Rev. Lee Phillips and Rev. Jeff Bolton officiating.
Interment Peabody Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Saturday

MILFORD, ROBERT PAUL (BOB), SR. -age 82, of Knoxville, formerly of Oak Ridge,
passed away Tuesday morning, July 3, 2001, at Brakebill Nursing Home. Bob was
born near Atlantic, Iowa in 1918, and received his B.S. degree in Chemical
Engineering from Iowa State University in 1939. He was subsequently employed
by the U. S. Engineer Department, the Maytag Co. and E. I. Dupont. Bob
entered the U. S. Army in 1944, and was stationed at Oak Ridge, as a member
of the Special Engineer Detachment Corps of Engineers. Upon his discharge in
1946, he joined ORNL, where he retired in 1981. Bob was a member of the
American Institute of Chemical Engineers, the American Chemical Society, the
American Society for Metals, and the Knoxville Men's Garden Club. He was an
active member of Bearden United Methodist Church, where he was a member of
the church choir, a lay leader and a volunteer in the FISH program. He was
one of the organizers of Troop 52 Boy Scouts of America at West Hills School
and served as an Asst. Scoutmaster. Bob was preceded in death by his wife,
Mary Louise Duthie Milford; daughter, Joanne S. Milford; parents, Paul K.
Milford and Sarah W. Milford; brother, Donald E. Milford. Survivors: son and
daughter-in-law, Robert P. Milford, Jr. and Sarah Ginsburg Milford of
Knoxville; daughters and son-in-law, Marilyn Milford Cooley and Dr. Norvin R.
Cooley of Oregon City, Oregon, Dianne E. Milford of Lauderhill, Florida;
grandchildren, Andy Milford, Rachel Milford and Melissa Cooley; brother,
Kenneth L. Milford of Council Bluffs, Iowa. Memorial service 2 p.m. Sunday,
July 15, 2001, at the Bearden United Methodist Church with Dr. James S.
Pollock officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following
the service. Interment will be in the Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery. In

SEIVERS, F. REBECCA - age 90, of Claxton, passed away Thursday, July 12, 2001
at the East Tenn. Baptist Hospital in Knoxville. She had worked at Claxton
Elementary School as a school teacher, retiring with over 28 years of
service. She was a member of Zion Baptist Church in Claxton. She was a
graduate of Robertsville High School and attended University of Tennessee in
Knoxville to receive her teaching degree. Preceded in death by husband,
Lincoln Seivers; parents, Cary Dennis & Cora Matthews Shultz; step mother,
Margaret Smelcer Shultz; sisters, Mae Jones, Kate Bayless, Lill McKibben,
Betty Liveley; brothers, George, Bill, Cary D. Jr. & John Shultz. Rebecca was
born April 27, 1911 in Sevier County. Survivors: step daughter, Dorothy Jean
Graham & husband, Carl of Powell; step granddaughters, Linda Osborne &

WORTHINGTON, EVERETTE ERNEST "CROW" - age 86, of Clinton, passed away Friday,
July 13, 2001 at St. Mary's Residential Hospice after suffering a stroke.
Crow was a Baptist, a retired farmer and enjoyed spending time with his
friends at Hardee's. As a member of "The Greatest Generation" he served his
country by being part of the Navy during WWII. Crow was born August 20, 1914
in Clinton. Survivors: loving wife of 60 years, Louise Tracy Worthington of
Clinton; daughter, Becky Foster of Clinton; devoted grandson, Arlo & caring
wife, Sharmian of Johnson City; loving grandson, Cody Foster of Clinton;
sister, Annette Stooksbury of Clinton; sister in law, Maxine Tracy of
Tellico; nieces, Robin Tracy of Macon, Ga., Laura Pipkin of Denver, Colo.;
niece and nephew, Sue & Rev. Lowell Elkins of Clinton; cousins, Dennie & Ruth
Worthington of Clinton; great nieces, Kathy Ayers of Clinton, Karen Guynes of
Halls; great nephews, Ronnie & David Worthington of Clinton, Mike Elkins of
