ELIZABETH ANN HUSKEY, 47, of Clinton, died Wednesday, July 11, 2001, at the
University of Tennessee Medical Center at Knoxville.
Born May 15, 1954, in Oliver Springs, Mrs. Huskey had lived in this area all
her life.
She was a homemaker and a member of Poplar Creek Baptist Church in Clinton.
Mrs. Huskey had a great love for the outdoors. She enjoyed fishing, hunting
and riding all-terrain vehicles.
She is survived by her husband, Jim Huskey; her son, Chris Huskey of Oliver
Springs; her parents, James Verlon Braden and Zora Daugherty Braden of
Briceville; and her brothers, Edward Braden and his wife, Wilma, of Oliver
Springs, Brad Braden of Lake City, and Freddie Braden, Timmy Braden and Bruce
Braden, all of Briceville.
The family expresses great appreciation to all their friends, neighbors,
caregivers, and special friends Frank and Connie Hughart and David and Neomi
Davenport during Mrs. Huskey's illness.
Friends may call till 8 tonight, July 12, at Sharp Funeral Home in Oliver
Springs.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, July 13, at Poplar
Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Bill Dawson officiating.

JOHN ROY CRAIG Jr., 70, of 201 Gibbs Ferry Road, Clinton, died Tuesday, July
10, 2001, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
Born May 16, 1931, in Scranton, Pa., he was the son of John Roy Craig Sr. and
Leona Agnes Witkowski, who are deceased. His family moved to Huntington,
W.Va., where he lived till the age of 19.
At the age of 12, he joined the Junior Marines and later transferred to the
West Virginia State Guard during World War II, and rose to the rank of
sergeant/E-5. At age 19, Mr. Craig joined the U.S. Navy and became a hospital
corpsman. He later transferred to the U.S. Marine Corps and served for nine
years before returning to the Navy.
During his time in the military, he served in the Korean War and later in the
Vietnam War. He retired in 1970 from the U.S. Navy after 30 years of military
service.
He held an associate's degree in science/business and financial management
from Florida Keys Community College.
He was currently employed at the Eye Center in Oak Ridge after retiring from
the Property Appraiser's Office in Monroe County, Fla.
Mr. Craig was a 40-year member of the Masons and had become a master Mason in
1961. He was a Scottish Rite Mason, a York Rite Mason, a Shriner, member of
the Scottish Rite Research Society and a member of the Order of the Eastern
Star. He was a dual member of Faith Masonic Lodge No. 756 in Oak Ridge and
Anchor Masonic Lodge No. 182 in Key West, Fla.
In addition to the Masonic orders, he was a member of the National Rifle
Association, the Fleet Reserve Association, the Disabled American Veterans
association, Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion and the Loyal
Order of Moose and he was a Kentucky Colonel. He was also an avid coin
collector.
Mr. Craig is survived by his wife, Josephine Craig; two sons, Stewart Craig
of the home and John R. Craig III of Salt Lake City, Utah; his brother, Wayne
R. Craig and his wife, Sue, of Coraopolis, Pa.; his sister, Nancy Lee Niday
and her husband, Gene, of Louisville, Ky.; his sister-in-law, Helen, of
Richmond, Va.; a brother-in-law, James L. Bennett and his wife, Phillis, of
Jefferson City; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Craig was preceded in death by a brother, the
Rev. Dale Craig.
The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, July 14, at St. Stephen's
Episcopal Church with the Rev. Frank VanDevelder officiating.
Burial of his ashes will follow at St. Stephen's Memory Garden.
The family requests that any memorials be in the form of donations to
Hospitality House of Methodist Medical Center, 210 W. Tennessee Ave., Oak
Ridge, TN 37830.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, July 13, at Martin
Oak Ridge Funeral Home. Masonic and military services will follow at 7.

MARGIE DEAN WALLACE DAVIS, 70, of Clinton, died Tuesday night, July 10, 2001,
at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
Mrs. Davis was born Oct. 30, 1930, in Anderson County, the daughter of
William "Bill" and Seffie Spessard Wallace.
She was a member of South Clinton Baptist Church and an active member of the
South Clinton Home Demonstration Club.
Mrs. Davis was a homemaker. She enjoyed collecting and viewing antiques,
crafts and flowers. Her family described her as a loving mother and wonderful
grandmother.
She was the widow of Robert Vernon Davis.
She is survived by her daughter, Angela Poe and her husband, the Rev. Phil
Poe, of Clinton; her son, Kimble Davis and his wife, Cindy, of Lenoir City;
four granddaughters, Janae Poe and Kimberly Davis Harrell and her husband,
Dallas, all of Clinton, and Allison Davis and Leah Davis, both of Lenoir
City; one grandson, Nathan Poe of Clinton; one great-granddaughter, Sedona
Harrell of Clinton; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by
another son, Walter Lynn Davis.
The funeral will be held at 8 tonight, July 12, in the chapel of
Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton with the Rev. Terry Steil Sr.
officiating.
A graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, July 13, at Oak
Ridge Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at the funeral home.

WILMA LOWE "Granny" WRIGHT, 78, of Wartburg, died Tuesday, July 10, 2001, at
her home.
Mrs. Wright was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Wartburg and a charter
member of the Petros chapter of the Order of Eastern Star.
She was the widow of Jesse Boyd Wright.
She is survived by her brother, Jesse James Lowe of Kingston; her
sister-in-law and special friend, Jan Lowe of Wartburg; and several nieces
and nephews.
Milly and Stacey Griffith of Wartburg were considered special friends.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Wright was preceded in death by her parents,
Jesse and Irene Lowe; her sister, Thelma Lowe West; and four other brothers,
Elmer Lowe, Arnold Lowe, Gentry Lowe and Vaughn Lowe.
The funeral will be held at 8 tonight, July 12, in the chapel of Schubert
Funeral Home in Wartburg. The Rev. Don Daugherty will officiate.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, July 13, at Anderson
Memorial Gardens, 640 Oliver Springs Highway, Clinton.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at the funeral home.
