TIMMONS, JAMES F. - age 74 of Jacksboro, formerly of Miami, Fla. passed away
Saturday July 7, 2001 at St. Mary's Hospital in Knoxville. He served as Court
Clerk of Dade County for many years. During his tenure as Court clerk, he was
given the overall responsibility of converting to a Metro type government. He
was a veteran of the US Army serving during the Korean Conflict and was of
the Baptist faith. Preceded in death by parents, Edward and Irene Hudson
Timmons. Survivors: wife, Nannie Russell Timmons, Jacksboro; daughter,
Guinevere Timmons, Jacksboro and Gena Hartman, Sweetwater; brother, Bobby
Timmons, Washington, DC. Private memorial service will be held at the home.
Family request donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, Memphis,
Tenn. in his memory. Arrangements by Cross Funeral Home, LaFollette.
