REED, GLADYS IRENE LAMB - age 80, passed away Wednesday, June 13, 2001, at
Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. She was the 3rd of 12 children born to
Lee and Martha Lamb on Lamb Mountain in Campbell County, Tenn. She was a
member of Lincoln Park Baptist Church, Euzelian Sunday School Class and the
Golden Notes Choir. Former volunteer at Fort Sanders Hospital and the
American Heart Association. Preceded in death by beloved husband, Roscoe
Reed. Survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn and Glenn Pettit of
Knoxville, Brenda and Mario Martinez of Brush Prairie, Washington;
grandchildren and spouses, Michael and Amy Pettit, and Amy and Scott
Hamilton; granddaughters, Monique and Michele Martinez; great-grandchildren,
Evan and Garret Hamilton and Nathan Pettit. Family and friends will meet at
the main entrance to Greenwood Cemetery at 12:45 p.m. Friday for a 1 p.m.
graveside service and interment, Rev. Keith Walker will officiate. Memorials
may be made to the American Heart Association, 4708 Papermill Drive,
Knoxville, TN 37909, or the charity of your choice. The family will receive
friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Stevens Mortuary, Oglewood Ave. at
Broadway, in charge of arrangements
