CHAMBERS, NOVELLA H. - age 85, of Elk Valley, Tenn., passed away Wednesday,
June 6, 2001, at Baptist Hospital, Knoxville, Tenn. She was born June 4,
1916, and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Elk Valley. She spent
most of her life teaching school/ serving as a guidance counselor in Campbell
County, Anderson County, Montgomery County, Ohio, and Lincoln Memorial
University. Preceded in death by husband, Francis J. Chambers; parents,
Sheridan (Red) and Beatrice Ledford; brothers, J. B. and Oha Ledford.
Survived by sons, Roger Chambers and wife Pat, and Gary Chambers and wife
Beverly; five grandchildren, Brad Chambers, Todd Chambers, Tricia Brown, Kim
Chambers and Randy Chambers; four great-grandchildren, Bridget, Emily, Katie
Leigh and Morgan Brown; sisters, Iva Lee Young, Azalee Littrell;
sisters-in-law, Ollie and Garnet Chambers, and numerous cherished nieces and
nephews. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 9, at the Elk
Valley First Baptist Church with Rev. Earl Chapman officiating. Interment
will be in the Valley View Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 6-9 p.m. at
the Cox & Son Funeral Home, Jellico, Tenn
