JOE BEELER, 94, of Dayton, Ohio, died Friday, April 20 at the Englewood
Nursing Home in Dayton, Ohio. He was a member of the Long Hollow Baptist
Church.
He was preceded in death by wife Pearl McCarty; son Wonnie Beeler; daughter
Judy Shoup; parents Jim and Deliha Beeler; and 2 grandchildren.
He is survived by sons Conley and Bruce Beeler of Dayton Ohio; Ruben Beeler
of Fountain, Col., and Ronnie Beeler of LaFollette; daughters Lois Taylor
Abney of Dayton, Ohio, Imogene Overbay of Fla., Betty Carroll and Joyce Riggs
Underwood of LaFollette; 19 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 2
great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Monday, April 23, in the Chapel of Martin
Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Arnold and Rev. O.D. Hill officiating.
Interment was held in the Sunrise Cemetery.

CHARLES HERBERT BREEDING, 67, of Dayton, Tenn. formerly of Speedwell, died on
April 18, at Rhea Medical Center in Dayton, Tenn. He was a member of the
White Oak Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by parents Dave and Dailey
Breeding; sisters Roma Engle and Mary Helen McIntosh.
He is survived by wife Carrol Breeding; son Kenneth Herbert Breeding both of
Dayton; daughter Sue Ellen Viens ; son Charles Alan Breeding both of Fla.;
brothers Roy, Frank, and Dwayne Breeding all of Mich., Elzie and C.E.
Breeding, both of Dayton; sisters Cleo Kelley, Maxine McWilliams both of
Dayton, and Hazel Cosby of Mich; 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held on Friday, April 20, at Coulter Garrison Funeral
Home Chapel with Rev. Stanley Faulkner and Rev. Bill Braden officiating.
Interment was held in Smyrna Cemetery.

KIZZIE LOWE CARROLL Carroll, 94, of the Straight Fork Community, died
Wednesday, April 18, at the Scott County Hospital in Oneida. He was a
longtime member of the Nicks Creek Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by husband Wiley Carroll; son Bulis Carroll;
daughters Ruby Ann Carroll, Betty Rose Shannon, and Jean Foster; parents
James Andrew and Talitha Ann Lowe; brothers Posey and Delois Lowe; sisters
Mary Carroll, Pernie Sharp, and Kancey Jordan; and 2 grandchildren.
She is survived by daughter Evelyn Crabtree of the Straight Fork Community;
son Jackie Carroll of Pioneer; sister Florence Boshears of Jacksboro; 20
grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, April 21, at the Straight Fork
Baptist Church with the Rev. Gary Crabtree and Rev. Steve Hatfield
officiating. Interment was held in the Fairview Memorial Gardens.

PAULINE MEREDITH, 77, of Daeville, died Tuesday, April 17, at EAMC- Opelika.
She was a member of the 1st Baptist Church of St. Clair Shores, Mich.
She is survived by husband johnie Meredith of Dadeville, Ala., daughters
Berverlee Meredith of West Palm Beach, Fla., and Babara Reiterman of
Dadeville, Ala.; son Hohn Meredith of Dadeville, Ala.; sisters Florence
Mazzola of St. Petersburg, Fla., Shirley Chirkun of Madison, Ala., and Nancy
Melton of Brownsboro, Ala.; brother Ralph Jones of Turner, Mich.; 6
grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

CAROLYN PARSONS, 60, of Clinton died Friday, April 20 at her residence. She
was a member on the Tennessee Hollow Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by parents Kenneth and Faye Stonecipher Hayes..
She is survived by daughters Pamel Parsons Rainey of Caryville, Lesa Parsons
of Los Angelas, California, Karan Parsons of Clinton; sons Jeffrey Knight of
Andersonville and Allen Parsons of Clinton; sisters Peggy Weatherford of
White Pine, Tenn., Brenda Huckaby of Clark Range, Tenn., Gail Seiber of Lake
City, and Kendra Fox of Powell; brothers Dave Hayes of Dearborne Heights,
Mich., Jim, Gary, and Kenneth Hayes all of Briceville; and 6 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Monday, April 23, at the Holley-Gamble Funeral
Home chapel with the Rev. Archie Seiber officiating. Interment was held in
the Circle Cemetery in Briceville.

EDWIN "Eddie" KEITH SHARP, 43, died on April 18. He was of the Baptist faith
and a member of the Lakeview Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by father Edwin Sharp of Campbell County.
He is survived by mother Naomi McKinney Sharp of Campbell County; daughter
Shyla Sharp of Knoxville; son Shane Sharp of Knoxville.
Funeral services were held on April 19, with Rev. Roger Stanley and Rev.
Steve Elkins officiating. Interment was held in Campbell Memorial Gardens.

MYRTLE MAE TAYLOR, 82, of LaFollette, died Monday, April 23, at the
LaFollette Medical Center Nursing Home. She was a member of the Main Street
Baptist Church, in Lake City.
She was preceded in death by parent; first husband James Carl Chadwell; 4
children; 4 brothers; 2 sisters and husband Troy V. Taylor.
She is survived by sons Thomas M. of Hartwood, Va., Edwin of Jacksonville,
Fla., Raymond L. of Ida, Mich., and O'neal of Jacksboro; daughters Ernestine
Adkins of Monroe, Mich., Geri (Sis) Brown, of Tampa, Fla., Marie Spradlin of
Fredericksburg, Va., Inez Hunley of Lake City, Mildred Taylor of
Fredericksburg, Va., Doris Brown of Kalamazoo, Mich., Sue McCloud of
LaFollette, and Linda Williams of Houston, Tex.; brother S.B. Woods of Lake
City; sisters Nan Enno of Spring Hill, Fla., Reba Crabtree, and Edna Matheson
of Wartburg, Tenn.; 26 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 3
great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 26, at 8 p.m. at Cross
Funeral Home with Rev. Kenneth Cole and Rev. William Dawson, officiating.
Interment will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, April 27, in the Campbell Memorial
Garden. The family will receive friends Thursday, evening from 4 to 8 p.m.

MYRTLE MAE TIDWELL, 90, of 142 Overbay Ln., Caryville died Thursday, April
19, at the St. Mary's Medical Center of Campbell County. She was a member of
the Red Ash Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by husband Joe Henry Tidwell; parents Mart and
Estella Smith Kennedy; brothers Delbert and George Kennedy; sisters Helen and
Thelma Lucille Kennedy.
She is survived by sons Charles Wilson of Caryville; Clyde Tidwell of Erwin,
Tenn.; daughters Mary Harper of Dayton, Ohio, Barbara Overbay of Caryville;
brother Jimmy Kennedy of Athens, Ohio; 23 grandchildren, several
great-grandchildren, several great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Sunday, April 22 in the Chapel of Martin Wilson
Funeral Home with Rev. Don Allen officiating. Interment was in the Ridgeview
Cemetery.

GL;ENN E. TEAGUE, 76, of Jacksboro, died Saturday, April 21, at St. Mary's of
Campbell County. He was a member of Jacksboro First Baptist Church. He was
also an U.S. Army veteran of WWII. He worked at Ellison Sanitary Supply for
43 years.
He was preceded in death by wife Louise Mariner Teague.
She is survived by son Terry Lynn Teague, Jacksboro; brother Kenneth and
Jackie Teague, Jacksboro; and 2 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Sunday at Cross Chapel with Dr. Charles Parker
officiating. Interment was held in the Jacksboro Cemetery.

RALPH RAMOS TORRES, 62, of Caryville, died Monday, April 23, at the UT
Hospital in Knoxville. He was a member of the Ridgeview Baptist Church and
owner of R & M Wholesales in Caryville.
He is survived by wife Mable Torres of Caryville; sons Ralph David Torres of
Lake City; Dewayne Torres of Kennesaw, Ga., and Mike Torres of Jacksboro; 3
brothers and 3 sisters; and 10 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, April 25, in the chapel of Holley
Gamble Funeral Home in Lake City with Rev. Lonnie Weldon and Rev. J.T. Leah
officiating. Interment was held in the Marlow Cemetery.

JEROLD ROY WEAVER, 25, of Park Place Rd., Caryville, died Friday, April 20,
at the Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallitan, Tenn.
He is survived by parents Theodore R. and Judith Nolen Weaver Jr. of
Caryville; brother Ted Weaver of Swartz Creek, Mich.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday at the Midway Baptist Church with Rev.
Leonard Dabney and Rev. Dale Baker officiating. Interment was held in the
Sharp Cemetery in Caryville.

OMA HACKLER, 76, of Black Oak, KY, passed away Tuesday, April 17, at the
Jellico Community Hospital.
She was born Sept. 1, 1924 at Jellico, TN, and was a member of the Black Oak
Church of God.
She was preceded in death by parents, Joseph Isaac Baker & Mary Ollie Mae
Taylor Baker; brother, Don Baker; sisters, Jean Walden, Louise Tracey & Mary
Jane Lawson.
She is survived by: husband of 50 years, Charles Clayton Hackler of Black
Oak, KY; 5 daughters, Ottie Rose Davis and husband, Roy, of Indian Mountain,
TN, China Mae Hackler of Black Oak, KY, Leoma Davenport and husband, Larry,
of Saxton, KY, Gertrude Stephens & husband, Tommy, of Black Oak, KY, Barbara
Davenport & husband, Gary, of Black Oak, KY; 5 sons, William Hackler & wife
Vickie, Harold Hackler & wife, Kathy, & James Hackler & wife, Lisa, all of

with Rev. Roger Miller & Rev. Tommy Stephens officiating. Interment was in
the Dulin Cemetery at Black Oak, KY. Cox & Son Funeral Home was in charge of
arrangements.
Anna Ruth Marlow Shulz, of Machesney Park, IL, passed away on April 12, 2001
of cancer. Ruth was born in Westbourne, TN on May 6, 1931 to John F. and
Litha Marlow. She was preceded in death by her son, Clifford Neal, parents,
brother Hoyal A. Marlow (SFC. US Army, Ret.), brother in-law William H. Engle
and James F. Hale.
She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Karl H. Schulz. Anna Ruth and
Karl were married in LaFollette, TN on September 1, 1962. In addition to her
husband, she leaves her beloved son and daughter-in-law, Gene and Ginny Neal
of Davis Junction, IL, granddaughters Karla Jean Neal of Knoxville, TN,
Angela Lynn and Todd Pfab and great grandson Jacob Pfab, all of Davis
Junction, IL, mother-in-law Grete Shulz of Germany, sisters Cuemyle Hale and
Janice Engle, OH, Myonia (Joe) Stone, California, Uncle L.B. Marlow of
LaFollette, numerous nieces and nephews, her dog, Kelly Jo and many friends.
Anna Ruth was a wonderfully loving and talented woman who enjoyed cooking,
gardening, sewing and fishing. She will be dearly missed by her family and
friends.
