FARLEY, JOE EDWARD - age 84 of Clinton, passed away Saturday April 7, 2001 at
Methodist Medical Center. In earlier years Mr. Farley was a coal miner and
before retirement he worked at Rust Engineering in Oak Ridge as supervisor.
After retirement, he enjoyed bee keeping and gardening. He was born October
6, 1916 in Pennington Gap, Va. Preceded in death by parents, Harve & Lavada
Wynn Farley; daughter, Jo Ella Farley; son, James W. Farley; sister, Golden
Copeland. Survivors: wife, Evelyn Leinart Farley of Clinton; daughter,
Roberta Campbell & husband, Morris of Clinton; son, Arthur Farley & wife,
Diane Farley of Clinton; grandchildren, Michael Farley & wife, Traci of
Clinton; step grandchildren, Douglas Tipton, Darius Tipton; sisters, Effie
Goodall of Oak Ridge, Lottie Disney of Clinton, Mabel Orr of Knoxville, Nell
York of Winston Salem, NC; several nieces and nephews. The family will
receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday, April 9, 2001 at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home
with funeral services following in the chapel with Rev. Donnie Disney
officiating. The interment will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Grandview Memorial
Gardens. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton in charge of all arrangements.
FULKERSON, CLARA MAE - age 90 formerly of Clinton passed away Thursday April
5, 2001 in New Orleans, La. She was a member of Memorial United Methodist
Church and Clinton Timely Topics. Preceded in death by parents, Sawyer
Charles & Flossie Taylor Cross; husband, Alfred Fulkerson. Survivors:
daughter, Ann Loggins & husband, John of Metairie, La.; granddaughters,
Katherine Howard of Houston, TX, Nancy Gonzalez of Chicago, Ill.; 2 great
grandchildren, Ruby Gonzalez, August Gonzalez. The family will receive
friends 9-11 a.m. Wednesday, April 11, 2001 at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home
with funeral services following in the chapel with Rev. Don Thomas
officiating. The interment will follow at Woodhaven Memorial Garden.

STAKES, PHYLLIS E. - age 60 of Oak Ridge died Saturday, April 7, 2001 at the
Methodist Medical Center. Retired/ ORNL/Computing and Telecommunications
Division. Survived by: Husband, Hollis Stakes, Oak Ridge; sons, Scott Stakes
and wife Gail of Harriman, Randy Bruner and wife Loretta of Baltimore, MD;
mother and step-father, Lura and Eddie Prewitt of Oak Ridge; sister, Brenda
Joyner of Oak Ridge; brother, Ted Ellis of Richland, WA; mother-in-law, Wavel
York of Oak Ridge; stepdaughte, Michelle Turpin; step grandchildren, Sherry
Baker and Karrie Turpin; step great-grandchildren, Megan Baker and Cameron
Baker, all of Oak Ridge and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services are
Tues., April 10, 2001 at 8:30 p.m. at Weatherford Mortuary with Dr. David A.
Lord officiating. Graveside services are Wed. at 10 am at Anderson Memorial
Gardens. The family will receive friends on Tues., April 10, 2001 from 6:30-
8:30 p.m. at Weatherford Mortuary, Oak Ridge.
WALLACE, MARY T. - age 85 of LaFollette, passed away Fri., April 6, 2001.
Preceded in death by husband, Willie Wallace; parents, R.B. & Millie Tackett;
brothers, Henry & Luther Tackett. Survivors: daughter, Rosetta Chapman; sons,
Earl, Robert, Jay, Eugene, Ricky, Roger & Vance Wallace; brothers, Audren &
Arlie Tackett; sister, Ann Ward; 22 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren.
Funeral service 8 p.m. Sun. Cross Chapel, Rev. Houston Carroll officiating.
Interment 11 a.m. Monday Red Hill Cemetery, Andersonville. The family will
receive friends 6-8 p.m. Sun. before the service at Cross Funeral Home.
