WILLIAMS, MILDRED BERNICE "MIMI" TAYLOR - age 90 of Clinton passed away
Thursday, April 5, 2001 at Methodist Medical Center. She worked at Clinton
Magnet Hosiery Mills from 1947 until the mill closed in 1967. Went to work at
Ft. Sanders Hospital in Knoxville as a Medical Technician and later worked at
Eastern State Psychiatric Hospital in Knoxville as a Psychiatric Aide until
retiring. She worked with Wilson Tours arranging tours and has traveled all
over America with these tours, including New England and Canada. She loved
traveling. Was a member of AARP and Eastern Star. Preceded in death by
parents, George & Roxie Johnson Taylor; sister, Helen Taylor. Survivors: son,
Steve Williams & wife, Susan of Valrico, Fla.; grandchildren, Whitney Howard &
husband, Mike of Carlsbad, N. Mex., Johnathan Williams & wife, Brandi of
Brandon, Fla.; nieces, Brenda Bradford & husband, Joe of Knoxville, Carol
Yonkey & husband, Ed of Johnson City, Myra White & husband, Doyle of Apopka,
Fla., Mary Ann Taylor of Knoxville; nephew, Phillip Taylor & wife, Barbara of
Powell; brother, William M. "Bill" Taylor & wife, Liz of Clinton; 7 great
nieces; 4 great nephews and a large circle of additional family members. The
family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Saturday April 7, 2001 at Holley-Gamble
Funeral Home with funeral services following at 8 p.m. The interment will be
2 p.m. Sunday at Taylors Chapel Cemetery. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in
Clinton in charge of all arrangements.
