MARIE O. KOEPKE, 93, died Monday night, March 26, 2001, at NHC HealthCare of
Oak Ridge.
She was the widow of Arthur J. Koepke. They had been married for 41 years at
the time of his death.
For many years Mrs. Koepke, a cosmetologist by profession, owned and operated
the Lincoln Beauty Salon in the Urbana Lincoln Hotel, Urbana, Ill.
Her family said she sold her business to devote her life to them as a loving
wife and mother, and in 1951, she moved with her family to Colorado Springs,
Colo.
She had lived in Oak Ridge since 1993.
In Colorado Springs, Mrs. Koepke was an active member of Bethany Lutheran
Church and was a member of the Naomi-Ruth Circle. She also organized the
Tabitha Circle as a means by which individuals could contribute to mission
work through use of their time and quilting talents.
As a member of the Colorado Springs Second Horizon program for senior
citizens, Mrs. Koepke organized a quilting group and taught hand-quilting.
Several of her personal pieces won quilting competitions.
Upon moving to Oak Ridge, she became a member of Grace Lutheran Church and
took part in quilting projects for Lutheran World Relief.
Mrs. Koepke is survived by her daughter, Merry Ann Hansen and her husband,
James Hansen; and by her grandson, Harold Jamessen Hansen, all of Oak Ridge.
A memorial service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Friday, March 30, at Grace
Lutheran Church.
The family requests that any memorials be in the form of donations to Grace
Lutheran Church, 131 Gettysburg Ave., Oak Ridge, TN 37830.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 1:30 p.m. Friday at the church.
Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

LARRY DILLON, 44, of Knoxville, died Monday, March 26, 2001, at St. Mary's
Medical Center in Knoxville.
Mr. Dillon was employed at the Oak Ridge Y-12 Plant.
He was the son of James and Sarah E. Dillon, who are deceased.
Mr. Dillon was president-elect of the Karns Baseball Boosters Club. He was a
member of Parkwest Church of God in Karns and a member of the Knoxville Song
Writers Guild.
He is survived by his children, Josh Dillon and Katie Dillon; his brothers,
J.D. Dillon and David Dillon; his sisters, Marcie Castleberry and Ernestine
Harness; and by several nieces and nephews.
Cendi Dillon is his former wife.
In addition to his parents, another brother, Charles Dillon, died earlier.
Family and friends will meet at 10:45 a.m. Thursday, March 29, for an 11 a.m.
graveside service at Oak Ridge Memorial Park. The Rev. Gerald McGinnis will
officiate.
The family requests that any memorials be in the form of donations to the
Karns Baseball Boosters Club.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight, March 28, at Weaver
Funeral Home, 5815 Western Ave., Knoxville.

FLORA SHELLEY CONNER, 101, of Rockledge, Fla., died Sunday, March 25, 2001,
in Rockledge.
Mrs. Conner was a former resident of Sevierville. She was the widow of Ernest
Conner.
She is survived by her daughters, Ruth Henderson of Oak Ridge and Jean Conner
of Rockledge; her son, Jack Conner of Sevierville; her sister-in-law, Alice
McMahan; her grandchildren, E.R. Henderson, David Henderson, Steve Henderson,
Jeanie Brakebill, Bobby Jack Conner and Jim Bo Conner; and by 10
great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
The funeral will be held at 7 tonight, March 28, in the chapel of Atchley
Funeral Home in Sevierville with the Rev. Andy McCulley and the Rev. W.W.
Cope officiating.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 29, at Smoky
Mountain Memory Gardens.
The family requests that any memorials be in the form of donations to the
Nursery Department at First Baptist Church, 3290 Parkway, Pigeon Forge, TN
37863-3422.
The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7 tonight at the funeral home.

IRIS IRENE JAYNES, 86, of Oak Ridge, died this morning, March 28, 2001, at
NHC HealthCare of Oak Ridge.
Weatherford Mortuary is handling arrangements, which were incomplete this
morning.
