PEBLEY, CLYDE LAWRENCE, SR. - age 94 of Clinton, passed away Friday, January
19, 2001 at the Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge. He was a beloved
member of Clinton Second Baptist Church for over fifty years. He was a long
time employee of Clinton Magnet Mills. Preceded in death by daughter, Claudia
Joan Pebley; parents, William & Myra Alexander Pebley; brother, Robert Wayne
Pebley. Born March 25, 1906 in Coal Creek, now know as Lake City. Survivors:
wife of 69 years, Ruth Courtney Pebley of Clinton; son, Mr. Clyde Pebley, Jr.
of Clinton; daughters, Mrs. Joyce Templin of Lake City, Mrs. Geraldine Brown
& husband, Bill of Clinton, Mrs. Kaye Harness & husband, Walter of Clinton,
Mrs. Maxine Pebley Wilson of Clinton; brother, Kenneth Pebley & wife, Naomi
of Lake City; grandchildren, Skipper Templin & wife, Jeanette of Lake City,
Michael Templin & wife, Rose of Caryville, Kerry Templin & wife, Kaye of Lake
City, Patrick Templin of Lake City, Lori Noonan & husband, David of
Caryville, David Cox & wife, Kathy of Oak Ridge, Kelly Wilson & husband,
Terry of Clinton, Cindy Knott & husband, Jeff of Lake City, John Pebley of
Clinton, Jennifer Bowling & husband, Rodney of Clinton; 15 great
grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, friends & loved ones. The family
will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Saturday January 20, 2001 at Clinton Second
Baptist Church with funeral service following at 8 p.m. at the church with
Rev. Gary Swaggerty & Rev. George Williams officiating. Interment will be
held 2 p.m. Sunday at Sunset Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Clinton
Second Baptist church Building Fund, 901 Fowler Street, Clinton, Tenn. 37716.
Holley-Gamble Funeral Home of Clinton in charge of all arrangements.
