TED BILLS, 94, of Jellico, died Saturday, November 18 at his home. He is
survived by; sons, Charlie Bills, and Jimmy Bills, both of Jellico;
daughters, Wanda Gilbert of Richmond, Kentucky, and Marilyn Silcox of
Jellico; thirteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; one
great-great-grandchild; sister, Clara Hale of Oak Ridge; and a host of
relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 21 at
Jellico United Methodist Church with Rev. Lester Cox and Rev. Wayne Hedrick
officiating. Interment followed in Jellico Cemetery. Harp Funeral Home of
Jellico in charge of arrangements.
ELIHUE CARDWELL, 82, of LaFollette, died Friday, November 17 at LaFollette
Medical Center. He was a member of Ivey Dale Church of God. He was preceded
in death by; parents, Benjamin and Birdie Sailor Caldwell. Survivors include;
sons, James Caldwell of Indianapolis, Indiana, Perry Caldwell, and Leonard
Caldwell, both of Flint, Michigan; daughters, Bobbie McClain of Mt. Morris,
Michigan, Dora Harroid of Gainesville, Florida, and Jackie Litteral of Clio,
Michigan; brother, Tommy Caldwell of Caryville; nineteen grandchildren;
fifteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of
relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Monday, November 20 at
Martin Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Adkins officiating.
Interment followed Tuesday, November 21 in Peabody Cemetery. In lieu of
flowers, memorials may be made to the Campbell County Shriner Club.
EMMA SUSAN CLAWSON, 93, of Speedwell, died Wednesday, November 15 at
Middlesboro Appalachian Regional Hospital in Middlesboro, Kentucky. She was a
member of New Salem Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by; parents, J.
M. and Mary Clawson; brothers, Walter, Ott, Jim, Clyde, and Wade Clawson;
sisters, Etta Lambert, Maude Bean, and Grace Pierce. Survivors include;;
sister, Hazel Edwards of Speedwell; sisters and brothers-in-law, Ada Clawson
of Crossville, Myrl Clawson of Speedwell, and Cole Pierce of Wyandotte,
Michigan; special caretaker, Ann Edwards of Speedwell; special great-niece,
Elizabeth Edwards Wilson. Funeral services were held Friday, November 17 at
Cross Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Hill, Rev. John D. Lambert, and Rev.
Bill Braden officiating. Interment followed in Clawson Family Cemetery.
EDITH VIOLA ELLISON, 90, of LaFollette, died Monday, November 20 at
LaFollette Medical Center. She was a member of Cedar Hill Baptist church. She
was preceded in death by; husband, Ulyess Ellison; brothers, Delbert
Shoffner, Ken Shoffner, and Buford Shoffner; and sister, Marie Agee.
Survivors include; sons, Carless Ellison, and Eugene Ellison, both of
Melvindale, Michigan; daughter, Virginia Ellison of Sidney, Ohio; six
grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and
a host of relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Wednesday,
November 22 at Cross Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Clyde Ellison officiating.
Interment will follow today (Thursday), November 23 in Bakers Forge Cemetery.
JIMMY RAY GARRETT, 41, of Clairfield, died Friday, November 17 at Jewish
Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. He is survived by; parents, Robert and
Rosie Garrett of Clairfield; brothers, Gary Garrett, Dean Garrett, and David
Garrett, all of Clairfield; sisters, Peggy Thomas of Clairfield, and Melinda
Bolton of LaFollette; and a host of relatives and friends. Funeral services
were held Sunday, November 19 at Clairfield Missionary Baptist Church with
Rev. Robert Hatfield and Clyde Davis officiating. Harp Funeral Home of
Jellico in charge of arrangements.
GERTRUDE HEATHERLY, 81, of LaFollette, died Sunday, November 19 at LaFollette
Medical Center. She was a member of Long Hollow Baptist Church. She was
preceded in death by; husband, Alvis Heatherly; parents, Silleous and Stella
Miller; brother, William Miller; and sister, Pauline Wilson. Survivors
include; brothers, Jake Miller of Rockwood, and J. will Miller of Marietta,
Georgia; sisters, Mildred Sparks, and Peggy Hunley, both of LaFollette, and
Nina Jo Harber of Northfield, Ohio; several nieces and nephews; relatives and
friends. Funeral services were held Wednesday, November 22 at Walters Funeral
Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry (Bo) Perkins officiating. Interment followed in
Campbell Memorial Gardens.
JOE HENRY HUCKABY, 74, of LaFollette, died Wednesday, November 15 at
Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge. He was a member of Little Coolidge
Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by; parents, William M. and Mattie
Miller Huckaby; step-son, Dale Poston; and granddaughter, Selena Poston.
Survivors include; wife, Margaret Huckaby; step-mother, Opal Huckaby of
Kentucky; brothers, Carl Huckaby, and Gary Huckaby, both of Williamsburg,
Kentucky; sisters, Bonnie Hawn, Glenna Vanover, Donna Anderson, Iva Lee
Hamlin, and Veda Newson, all of Williamsburg, Kentucky, Linda Tackett of
Jacksboro, Sue Hamlin of Kalamazoo, Michigan, and Jean Sharp of Nashville;
grandchildren, John Dale, Willie Poston, and Melissa Young, all of
LaFollette. Funeral services were held Sunday, November 19 at Martin Wilson
Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Braden and Rev. Johnny Rains officiating.
Interment followed in Victory Cemetery.
CREED MALICOAT, Jr., 65, of Duff, died Thursday, November 16 at Jellico
Community Hospital. He was preceded in death by; parents, Creed and Ossie
Vanover Malicoat; sisters, Faye and Mary; and brothers, Ed and George Lee.
Survivors include; wife, Myrna Marlow Malicoat; daughter, Lisa Baird of
Jellico; sons, Gary Hamblen of Acworth Georgia, Jeff Marlow of Kennesaw,
Georgia, Stan Marlow of Jellico, and Michael Malicoat of Kennesaw, Georgia;
eight grandchildren; brothers, Bill Malicoat, and Berlin Malicoat, both of
White Oak, and Bennie Malicoat of Tackett Creek; and a host of nieces,
nephews, relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Saturday, November
18 at Harp Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Durand Dixon, Clyde Davis, and Rev.
Jim Bolton officiating. Interment followed in Hall Cemetery.
BARBARBA PATTERSON, 67, of Clinton, died Wednesday, November 15 at her home.
She was a member of Briceville Church of God. She was preceded in death by;
husband, Franklin Patterson; son, Michael E. Patterson; and parents, Ervin
and Vera Poore Tucker . Survivors include; son, William McAlister of Orlando,
Florida; daughters, Joyce Leinart, and Teresa Procise, both of Briceville,
Frankie Fraley of Lake City, and Kimberly Seiber of Clinton; brother, Buddy
Tucker of Briceville; sisters, Lorene Risden of Caryville, and Naomi Peterson
of St. Petersburg, Florida; fifteen grandchildren; and twenty-one
great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Sunday, November19 at
Cox-Martin Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Archie Seiber officiating. Interment
followed in Circle Cemetery.
PATSY LOU PERKINS, 59, of Jellico, died Monday, November 13 at Jellico
Community Hospital. She is survived by; husband, Milford Bruce Perkins ;
brother, Oscar Kenneth Ford of Clinton; half-brother, Jerry Ford of Lake
City; half-sisters, Brenda Hatmaker, and Linda Hatmaker, both of Lake City;
and a host of relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Thursday,
November16 at Elk Valley Church of God with Rev. Johnny Hansford and Rev.
Dallas Redmon officiating. Interment followed in Valleyview Cemetery. Harp
Funeral Home of Jellico in charge of arrangements.
ROSE ADA POWERS, 57, of Pioneer, died Saturday, November 18 at her home. She
was a member of Stanfield Church of God. She was preceded in death by;
parents, Clay and Eva Ayers; and brother, Ray Ayers. Survivors include;
husband, Harold C. Powers; son, Brian C. Powers of Pioneer; daughters,
Deborah A. Phillips of Jacksboro, and Lesia G. Adkins of LaFollette;
step-daughter, Dora Curey of Virginia; step-mother, Ruby Ayers of Pioneer,
sisters, Sharon of Pioneer, and Della Mae of Dalton, Georgia; brothers, Cecil
Ayers of Daytona, Florida, Dennis Ayers of Detroit, Michigan, Darrell,
Clifford, Dallas, and Roland Ayers, all of Pioneer, and Timmy Ayers of
Oneida; four grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, November22 at Stanfield Church of God
with Rev. Delmus Bruce officiating. Interment followed in Broyles Cemetery.

GERTRUDE ANN SUMMERS, 92, of LaFollette, died Saturday, November 18 at
Sunbridge Care and Rehabilitation Center. She was a member of LaFollette
First Baptist Church. She operated the Dixie Cafe, the Shanghai Boat Dock on
Norris Lake, and the Summers Shoe Store in downtown LaFollette with her late
husband. She was preceded in death by; husband, Roscoe Summers; J parents,
George and Leona Moore; sister, Virgie Pearson; and brothers, Henry Moore,
and Luther Moore . Survivors include; daughter, Gwen McGregor of Concord,
California; sisters, Ruth Tidmore of Buffalo, New York , and Helen Guastello
of Boynton Beach, Florida; and family friend, Onnie Clark of Gallatin;
several relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Monday, November20
at Walters Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. William Lane Harris officiating.
Interment followed in Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, family requests
memorials be made to the Senior Adult Ministry at LaFollette First Baptist
Church.
RALPH THOMAS RANDOLPH, 72, of Duff, died Friday, November 17 at Methodist
Medical Center at Oak Ridge. He was of the Baptist faith and a Korean War
Veteran. He was a retired electrician with TVA. He is survived by; wife, Nina
R. Randolph; sons, Edmond A. Randolph, and Robert T. Randolph, both of
Knoxville; granddaughter, Natalie Lauren Randolph of Knoxville; sisters,
Lillian Nelson of Jacksboro, and Oma Borden of Knoxville; brother, Jack
Randolph of Knoxville; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Funeral
services were held Monday, November 20 at Rose Mortuary Mann Heritage Chapel
with Chaplain Alan Smith officiating. Interment followed Tuesday, November 21
in Tennessee Veterans Cemetery.
RUBY JEWEL WARD, 66, of Jacksboro, died Thursday, November 16 at Baptist
Hospital in Knoxville. She was preceded in death by; parents, Albert and
Edith Ward; brother, Johnny Ward; and sister, Willie Bell Gross. Survivors
include; son, Rick McNeely of Jacksboro; daughter, Lanna McNeely of
Jacksboro; sister, Ollie Mae Spicer of Dayton, Ohio; brother, Jim Ward of
Lake City; grandson, Michael McNeely of Topeka, Kansas; several nieces and
nephews; and a host of relatives and friends. Funeral services were held
Saturday, November18 at Martin Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Fletcher
Bean officiating. Interment followed in Macedon Cemetery.
