JOHNSON, HARLEY ROBERT - 79 of Oak Ridge died Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2000 at the
Methodist Medical Center. Was of the Baptist faith. Survived by wife, Lucille
Hunter Johnson; sons, John Johnson of Nashville and Mike Johnson and wife,
Geneva of Harriman; daughter, Connie Johnson Bilbrey and husband, Charles of
Hendersonville, Tenn.; 6 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are Friday Nov. 17, 2000 at 2 p.m. at Weatherford Mortuary
with Dr. Larry Dipboye officiating. Burial to follow at Anderson Memorial
Gardens in Clinton. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Assn.,
Anderson County Unit, 4708 Papermill, Dr. Knoxville, Tenn. 37909 or to the
American Cancer Society, c/o Lee Costanzo 103 Case Lane, Oak Ridge, Tenn.
37830. The family will receive friends on Thursday Nov. 16, 2000 from 6-8
p.m. at Weatherford Mortuary Oak Ridge.
MERIMS, CONSTANCE ESTELLE - age 79, of Norris, passed away Tuesday, November
14, 2000. She served as a LTJG in the Navy Nurse Corps during World War II,
stationed in Central America and California. A Certified Registered Nurse
Anesthetist, she spent her professional life working in surgery and delivery
rooms in hospitals in San Diego, Calif. Funeral service 11 a.m. Friday,
November 17, Norris United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends
10-11 a.m. Friday, at the church prior to services. In lieu of flowers
memorials may be made to American Heart Association, 4708 Papermill Drive,
Knoxville, TN 37909 or Norris United Methodist Church, PO Box 327, Norris, TN
37828. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton in charge of all arrangements.
SHARP, WILLIAM CONDRA, JR. - age 82, of Clinton, formerly of Andersonville,
passed away Wednesday, November 15, 2000, at the Methodist Medical Center in
Oak Ridge. He was a member of Andersonville United Methodist Church and
Valley Lodge No. 383 F&AM, Andersonville. He worked for 42 years with the
Federal Land Bank of Louisville, Ky. Preceded in death by parents, William C.
and Lula Belle Irwin Sharp. Born June 14, 1918 in Knox County. Survivors:
wife of 43 years, Bobbie Sterling Sharp of Clinton; son, William Sterling
Sharp of Clinton; daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Kenneth Crutcher of
Murfressboro; granddaughters, Brittany and Emily Crutcher of Murfreesboro;
brother and sister-in-law, Hubert P. and Shirley Sharp of Knoxville; sister
and brother-in-law, Mary Florence and Roger C. Sharp of Clinton; several
nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 1-2 p.m. Friday, November
17, at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton, with funeral service following
at 2 p.m. in the chapel with Rev. Kenneth Abbott and Rev. George Buchanan
officiating. Interment will follow at Andersonville Cemetery. Contributions
may be made to the Andersonville United Methodist Church, 3940 Andersonville
Highway, Andersonville, TN 37705
