BEELER, ANN CALDWELL - age 80, of Oak Ridge, passed away Monday, November 13,
2000 at Briarcliff Health Care Center. She was of The Seventh Day Adventist
faith. Survived by husband, Norman Beeler of Oak Ridge; sons, Harvey Turner
of Shelbyville, KY and Robert Wayne Beeler of Jefferson City, TN; daughters,
Delores Bishop of Chattanooga, TN, Ellen Creekmore and husband, Don, of
Powell, TN, Kathy Ketner of Oak Ridge and Linda Galloway and husband, James,
of Helena, MT; three brothers; two sisters; fourteen grandchildren;
twenty-two great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services
will be Wednesday, November 15, 2000 at 7:00 p.m. at Weatherford Mortuary
with Rev. Willie Aiken officiating. Graveside services will be Thursday,
November 16, 2000 at 10:00 a.m. in Anderson Memorial Gardens. The family will
receive friends on Wednesday from 6:00-7:00 p.m. at Weatherford Mortuary, Oak
Ridge.

CLAIR, MRS. EVA THORNTON - age 85, of LaFollette, passed away Monday,
November 13, 2000, at LaFollette Medical Center. She was born December
27,1914, and was of the Baptist Faith. Preceded in death by husbands, Fred
Thornton and Earl Clair; son, Henry Thornton and brother, Elmer Rutherford.
Survivors: three daughters, Mary Chapman of Jacksboro, Bertha Jordan of
Caryville, and Naomi Swain of LaFollette; three sons, Lawrence Thornton of
Jacksboro, Kenneth Thornton of Norwood, Ohio and Charles Clair of LaFollette;
19 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren; sister, Zina Terry of
LaFollette; brothers, Everett Rutherford of Halls and Earl Rutherford of
Knoxville; several other relatives and friends. Funeral services Thursday, 11
a.m. at Walters Chapel with Brother Carl Bradshaw officiating. Interment
Peabody Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at
Walters Funeral Home. Walters Funeral Home, LaFollette, in charge of
arrangements.

JORDAN, JOHNNIE C. - age 76, of Claxton, went home to be with his Lord on
Monday, November 13, 2000, at his home. He was the son of Johnnie C. and Mary
Whitehead Jordan. He was a member of South Clinton Baptist Church of Clinton
and a 32 degree Mason. Mr. Jordan was a Sergeant in the Army Air Corp during
WW II. He was a retired employee of Y-12 Union Carbide. Mr. Jordan was a
wonderful Christian and Godly example to his family and friends. Precious
husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Preceded in death by
parents; one brother; two sisters and devoted wife of 56 years, Geraldine
"Jeri" Webb Jordan, earlier this year. Survivors include son and
daughter-in-law, David and Anita Jordan; granddaughters, Jeneen, Joy and
Jennefer; great-granddaughters, Siera Russell and Jordan Chapin; sister, Ruby
Parton and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 7:30 p.m.
Thursday, November 16, 2000, at Woodhaven Funeral Home, Rev. Greg Howard
officiating. Family and friends will assemble 11 a.m. Friday at Woodhaven
Memorial Gardens for interment services. The family will receive friends from
6-7:30 p.m. Thursday at Woodhaven Funeral Home, 160 Edgemoor Road, Powell.

WALKER, JAMES MARTIN "MARTY" -age 46, of Alpharetta, Georgia, formerly of
Clinton, passed away Sunday, November 12, 2000, at St. Mary's Medical Center.
He was a graduate of Clinton High School and The University of Tennessee with
a Master of Science in Nursing. He spent 20 years in nursing with the most
rewarding being Senior Coordinator of Tennessee Donor Services for 6 years.
Preceded in death by grandparents, Charles and Lucinda Walker, Robert G. and
Ollie Martin; sister, Ann W. Brown; cousins, Hayley Kerr, Gary Martin and
Mickey Walker; uncles, Warren Jones and Ralph Martin, Sr. Survivors include
parents, Earl J. and Opal Walker of Clinton; daughter, Amanda Walker; son,
Jacob Walker of Clinton, ex-wife and mother of his children, Donna Walker;
sister, Bobbie Frazier and husband, Doug; nieces, Cindy Frazier Gilliam and
husband, Bob, of Clinton, Emily Frazier Carringer and husband, Chuck, of Oak
Ridge, Elizabeth Ann Brown of Clinton, Rebekah Brown Taylor and husband,
Mark, of Clinton; great-nephew, Zach Carringer of Oak Ridge; great-nieces,
Maggie Carringer of Oak Ridge, Dallas and Madison Taylor of Clinton; aunts,
Dean Jones of Knoxville, Mary Elizabeth Stair and husband, Earl, and Mable
Jenkins of Clinton; uncles, O.G. Martin and wife, Leachie, of Clinton, J.C.
Walker and wife, Betty, of Dandridge, Fred Walker and wife, Mary Ann, of
Germantown, Bill Walker of Orlando, Fla., E.L. Martin and wife, Alma, of
Clinton, Stan Jones of Knoxville and Ginger Johnson of Mountain City, TN;
special and loving friends, Jan Flegle of Woodstock, GA, Lou Christino and
Cleland Belin of Atlanta, GA, Robert Chase of Alpharetta, GA. He leaves
behind his pets, Bichon Frise's, Ande' and Macy. The family will receive
friends from 6:30-8:30p.m. Tuesday, November 14, 2000 at Holley-Gamble
Funeral Home in Clinton. Funeral service will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Black
Oak Baptist Church in Clinton with the Rev. Stan Jones and Rev. Larry Pugh
officiating. Burial will be in Black Oak Church Cemetery following the
service. Pallbearers will be David Butler, Robert Martin. R.H. Martin, Jr.,
Lou Christino, Cleland Belin and Robert Chase. Memorials may be sent to St.
Mary's Foundation, Diabetes Center Fund, 900 E. Oak Hill Avenue, Knoxville,
TN 37917. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home, Clinton, in charge.

WOODARD, RACHEL GARNER - age 84, of Oak Ridge, passed away Sunday, November
12, 2000, at her home. She was born March 29, 1916, in McLemoresville, Tenn.,
to parents, William and Edis Lawrence Garner. She was retired from Hamilton
First National Bank as Vice President. She was a member of Kern Memorial
Methodist Church and a long-time member of the Business and Professional
Women's Club of Oak Ridge. She was preceded in death by her husband, Maxie L.
Woodard in 1983. Mrs. Woodard is survived by son, Kenneth L. Woodard and
wife, Norma of Clinton; daughter, Freida Woodard Tate of Fredericksburg, Va.;
brother, James Bennett Garner of McLemoresville, Tenn.; sister, Mary William
Barger and husband, Clyde of Lavinia, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Lee,
Jennifer, Laura and Reba and one great-grandchild, Ashley, and her special
friend, Helen Orr of Solway. Funeral services are Tuesday, November 14, 2000,
at 8 p.m. at Weatherford Mortuary with Rev. E. C. Vestal officiating.
Graveside services are Wednesday, November 15, 2000, at 11 a.m. at Oak Ridge
Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, c/o Ms.
Lee Costanzo, 103 Case Lane, Oak Ridge, TN 37830. The family will receive
friends on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at Weatherford Mortuary, Oak Ridge.
