RALPH RANDOLPH WRIGHT, 77, of Oak Ridge, died Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2000, at NHC
HealthCare of Oak Ridge. He had been in declining health for several years.
Mr. Wright left the Oak Ridge K-25 Site in 1979 on medical disability and
retired in 1991 as a consultant. He was a longtime resident of Oak Ridge and
a member of the Church of Christ. Born in Collinsville, Ala., on Jan. 5,
1923, he was the son of Samuel Lucian and Alma Celia Brown Wright. His family
said he was a laboratory technician by trade and enjoyed flea markets and
lawn care. Mr. Wright is survived by his wife, Mary "Ethel" Wright; his
daughter, Mary Frances Forrester and her husband, Steve, of Canton, Ga.; his
son, Carl Ralph Wright and his wife, Reba, of Clinton; and three grandsons,
Dexter Forrester of Canton, Phillip Wright of Clinton and Bobbie Lee Wright
of Lakeland, Fla. He is also survived by his half-sister, Kathaleen Broughton
and her husband, Bill, of Wellington, Ala.; his stepsisters, Neoma McKinzie
of Dutton, Ala., and Viola Lowe and her husband of Gadsden, Ala.; and his
stepbrother, Grover Smith and his wife of Atlanta, Ga.
Mr. Wright's parents and his sister, Louise Israel, died earlier. The funeral
will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 6, in the chapel of Weatherford Mortuary
with Charlie Israel officiating.
Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive
friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at the mortuary.

AGNES LIZEBETH HANEY, 77, of Clinton, died Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2000, at
Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. Mrs. Haney is survived by her
daughter, Sue Armes and her husband, Sam, of Clinton; her sons, James Howard
Haney and his wife, Wilma, of Crewe, Va., and Fred Haney and his wife, Kathy,
of Clinton, Md.; her sisters, Lucy Phillips, Myrtle Smith and Magdalene Bray,
all of Clinton, and Azie Dalton of Bean Station; and seven grandchildren. A
graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7, at the
Galbraith Cemetery in the Marlow community with the Rev. Luke Kidwell
officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 6,
at Cox-Martin Funeral Home in Lake City.

ESTA MAE QUEENER, 91, of Valparaiso, Ind., formerly of Lake City, died
Sunday, Oct. 1, 2000, at the Life Care Center in Valparaiso. Mrs. Queener is
survived by her sons, James Kelly Queener and his wife, Neida, of Nashville
and Joe Mack Queener and his wife, Edith, of Heiskell; her daughters, Iris
Bell and her husband, Frank, of San Antonio, Texas, and Lola Jennings and her
husband, Glenn, of Valparaiso; her daughter-in-law, Sandra Queener of Lake
City; and 17 grandchildren. The funeral will be held at 8 tonight, Oct. 5, in
the chapel of Cox-Martin Funeral Home in Lake City with the Rev. Brian
Courtney officiating. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m.
Friday, Oct. 6, at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Clinton. The family will receive
friends from 6 to 8 tonight at the funeral home.
