BULLOCK, REV. BEDFORD - age 85, of Clinton, went home to be with the Lord
Sun., Aug. 20, 2000, at The Windwood Health Care Center. He was a member of
Farmers Grove Baptist Church where he had pastored on two different occasions
totaling over 16 years. He had pastored several other churches in the area
including Bryams Fork, Macedonia, Piney Grove, New Salem, Mt. Harmony, Deep
Springs and Batley Baptist Church. After pastoring, Brother Bedford desired
to go back to all the churches he has pastored and hold one last revival with
the help of Rev. David Crowley. Bedford's main goal in life was to help
someone to come to know Christ. He was born September 18, 1914 in Campbell
County. Preceded in death by parents, Jake and Alice Hatmaker Bullock and
several brothers and sisters. Survivors include several nieces and nephews
and a host of very close friends including Bill Copeland of Lake City, Rev.
Jack Rosenbalm of Clinton and Rev. Mickey Leffew of Clinton. Bedford loved
everyone he came in contact with and was loved by all. Receiving of Bedford's
friends will be from 6:00-8:30 p.m. Wed., Aug. 24th, at Holley-Gamble Funeral
Home in Clinton with singing at 8:30 p.m. in the chapel. Funeral services
will be held at 2 p.m. Thurs., Aug. 25th, at Farmers Grove Baptist Church
with Rev. David Crowley, Rev. Kenneth Seeber and Rev. Jerry Copeland
officiating. He will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Interment
will follow the service at Farmers Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

FORTUNE, ROY DEE - 84, formerly of Clinton, passed away August 22, 2000, at
Farragut Health Care Center, Knoxville. He is preceded in death by his wife,
Jettie Fortune. He is survived by five sons, David and wife Patricia of
Lenoir City, Jimmy Roy and wife Mel of Ohio, Roger and wife Tammy of Clinton,
Charles Fortune and Eugene Fortune, and by a stepdaughter, Marvil Patricia
Holt and by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family will
receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wed., August 23, 2000, at the Anderson County
Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 8 p.m. with the Rev. J. W.
Bargiol officiating. Interment, Aug. 24, 2000, at 2 p.m. at Woodhaven
Memorial Gardens, Claxton. Arrangements by Anderson County Funeral Home,
Clinton.
GRAHAM, CARL AUSTIN - age 73, of Clinton, passed away Monday, August 21,
2000, at the Methodist Medical Center. He retired from Clinton Utilities
Board as an Engineer. He was a United States Army Air Corp veteran. Preceded
in death by parents, James Randolph & Mattie Mae Cole Graham. Born October
22, 1926 in Anderson County. Survivors: wife of 50 years, Alma Jean Graham of
Clinton; son, James Michael Graham & wife, Debra of Anderson County; sister,
Brenda Vowell & husband, Sherrill; grandson, James Michael Graham, Jr. of
Illinois. The family will receive friends 6-8:30 p.m. Thursday August 24th,
at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton with funeral service following at
8:30 p.m., in the chapel with Rev. Ernest Wright & Rev. Lee Cate officiating.
Interment will be held 11a.m., Friday at Sartin Cemetery. Holley-Gamble

McCLELLAN, RUBY LEE - of Haslett, Michigan, was born March 25, 1927, in Old
Loyston, Tennessee, and passed away Saturday, August 19, 2000, in Rochester
Hills, Michigan, of cancer. She was born to Eursula "Stooksbury" and Claude
Sharp. She attended LaFollette High School and continued her education at
Hiwassee College in Madisonville, where she received an Associates degree.
Lee was a member of the Beta Club, played on the women's basketball team, and
was first runner-up as Miss Hiwassee Queen. While in college she met Sherman
Ray McClellan and later married him on July 17, 1951. She worked for the Blue
Diamond Coal Company in Knoxville as an administrative aide to the company
president. She and her family later moved with her family to Haslett,
Michigan, where she spent her years as a homemaker and enjoyed gardening,
traveling, art, playing the organ, reading and was an avid fan of M.S.U.
Basketball. She was a member of MENSA and she and her husband enjoyed their
winters in South Padre Island, Texas. Survivors: husband, Sherman Ray
McClellan of Rochester Hills, Mich.; children, Rodney McClellan of
Andersonville, William McClellan and wife Laurel of Seattle, Wash., Leslie
Zech and husband David of Buchanan, Mich. and Diedre Collins and husband Jeff
of Oxford, Mich.; grandchildren, Meredith and Claire McClellan; brother,
Edward Sharp and wife Gaynelle of Alcoa; sisters, Eula Mae Sharp of
Andersonville and Edith Sharp of Andersonville. The family will receive
friends 7-9 p.m. Thursday, August 24, at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in
Clinton. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, August 25, in the
chapel with Rev. Ken Abbott officiating. Interment will follow the service at
Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church Cemetery in Union County. Holley-Gamble
Funeral Home of Clinton in charge.
SHARP, HAZEL KELLY - age 97, of LaFollette, passed away Sunday, August 20,
2000 at the LaFollette Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Albert
Green Sharp. She was a member of the LaFollette United Methodist Church where
she served as the church organist and pianist for over 50 years. Mrs. Sharp
was a graduate of Lincoln Memorial University class of 1924. She was a
retired public school teacher and private piano teacher. An avid reader, she
was a member of the LaFollette Book Club. Survivors: 3 daughters, Mary Pat
Carr of LaFollette, Doris Wilson of Birmingham, Ala. and Joyce Summitt of
Memphis, Tenn.; 10 grandchildren, Robert Wilson, Jr., Lisa Johnson, Mary
Dodge, Sarah Kirkpatrick, Jan Bowman, Dr. Robert Summitt, Jr., Nancy Worthen,
Kelly Pridgen, Alvis Carr, Dr. Blair Summitt; 16 great grandchildren;
brother, William W. Kelly and a sister, Allene Kelly both of Pennington Gap,
Va. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to the LaFollette United
Methodist Church, P.O. Box 168 LaFollette, Tenn. 37766. Funeral service 2
p.m. Wednesday, August 23, 2000, at the LaFollette United Methodist Church,
Rev. Malcolm Wansley officiating. The family will receive friends from 12-2
p.m. Wednesday at the church prior to the service. Interment to follow at
Woodlawn Cemetery. Walters Funeral Home, Lafollette, in charge.
TEAGUE, CASSIMIRO HOBSON ALEXANDER - (infant), born August 18, 2000 passed
away Sat., August 19, 2000 at University of TN Hospital. Survived by parents,
Dr. Steven Paul and Cherie Baird Teague of East Norris Point, Lafollette,
Tenn.; grandparents, Helen and Ed Summers, and Councilwoman, Jean P. Teague
and Dr. Dale A. Teague and wife, Pam; great aunt, Lois A. Teague; five
uncles; four aunts; and eleven cousins. Family and friends will meet Fri. at
Highland Memorial Cemetery for an 11 a.m. graveside service with Father Greg
Neuzil officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Our Lady of
Perpetual Help Catholic Church in LaFollette. Arrangements by Rose Mortuary
Mann Heritage Chapel.
