McNABB, MILDRED JOHNSON - 86, of Oak Ridge, died at 5:45 a.m. Wednesday July
26, 2000, in the Methodist Medical Center after a brief illness. Mildred is
survived by George Edwin McNabb, her husband of 59 years; and two daughter,
Patricia McNabb and her husband, Don Gold, of Chicago, Ill., and by Carolyn
McNabb Simpson, of Toronto, Canada; two sisters, Margaret Johnson of
Rockmart, Ga., Martha Johnson Meeks of Douglas, Ga.; and by three brothers,
Louis Johnson o Flagler Beach, Fla., Ray Johnson and his wife, Virginia, of
Lilburn, Ga., and Herbert Johnson and his wife, Elizabeth of Cedartown, Ga.
She is also survived by four grandchildren, Paul Berkenstock and his wife,
Angie, of Brooklyn Park, Minn., George Simpson of Boston, Mass., David
Simpson and his wife, Toniya, of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. and by Shanda Simpson
of Toronto, Canada; and one great granddaughter, Megan Lou Berkenstock of
Brooklyn Park, Minn. Two of her brothers died earlier, Fred Johnson of
Winatche, Wash., and Thomas Johnson and his wife, Geraldine, of Rockmart, Ga.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday July 29, 2000 in the First
Baptist Church of Oak Ridge. Burial in the Oak Ridge Memorial Gardens will
immediately follow the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent
to the Children's Museum of Oak Ridge or to the Agape Room or library of the
First Baptist Church of Oak Ridge. Visitation hours are 6-8 p.m. on Friday,
July 28, in the McCarty-Martin Funeral Home in Oak Ridge, and in the First
Baptist Church of Oak Ridge on Saturday July 29, from 1-2 p.m

O'BRYEN, DALE WESLEY - age 75 of Oak Ridge, formerly of Mt. Pulaski,
Illinois, passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2000 at Ft. Sanders Regional Medical
Center in Knoxville. Dale was a veteran of WWII and Korean Conflict serving
in the Marines. He was Captains Orderly of the U.S.S. New Jersey. Dale was
retired from Norfolk-Western Railroad after 31 years of service. He attended
Lenoir City Seventh Day Adventist Church in Lenoir City. He was preceded in
death by wives, Lois O'Bryen and Mildred O'Bryen; parents, Raymar and Orteene
Felts O'Bryen; brothers, Roland O'Bryen and Wendell O'Bryen. Survived by son,
Dale Douglas O'Bryen of Knoxville; daughter, Nancy Wheeler and husband,
Gilbert of Ten Mile; grandchildren, Shannon Hays and husband, John, Stephanie
McCool and husband, Shane all of Loudon; Shane Whitaker of Decatur, Ill.;
great granddaughter, Savanah Hays; step children, Linda O'Brien of Bethesda,
Md., Marilyn Oliphant, Deborah Rice, Steven O'Brien all of Decatur, Ill.;
several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Monday, July 31,
2000 at 7:30 p.m. at Lenoir City Seventh Day Adventist Church. Pastor John
Cooper will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Oak
Ridge Senior Center, 728 Emory Valley Road, P.O. Box 1 Oak Ridge, Tenn.
