OODY, JIM CARMICHAEL, - age 63, of Oak Ridge, passed away Sunday evening at
Oak Ridge Methodist Medical Center. Retired employee of Martin Marietta,
veteran of the U.S. Navy. Survivors: former wife and special friend, Barbara
G. Oody; sister & brother-in-law, Carlene & Arthur Hall of Knoxville;
sisters, Ruth Byrge of Oak Ridge and Betty Paskell of Knoxville; special
uncle, Rob White of Hialeah, Fla.; special friend, Greer Valentine of Oak
Ridge; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service 8:00 p.m. Tuesday Mynatt's
Chapel. Rev. Ray Buchanan, Rev. Roger Lee officiating. Family & friends will
meet at Solway Church of God Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday for interment.
Nephews will be pallbearers. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday
at Mynatt's.
SELLARS, CARROLL - age 72, of Clinton, formerly of Jefferson City, passed
away early Monday at Oak Ridge Methodist Medical Center. Complete
arrangements to be announced later by Farrar Funeral Home, Jefferson City.
WALDEN, LELAND, - age 63, of LaFollette, passed away Sunday May 21 at his
home. He was a member of Fincastle United Methodist Church. Veteran of U.S.
Airforce. Preceded in death by parents, Rev. Mit & Nora Shelby Walden;
brothers, Roy, Charles & Paul Walden; sisters, Carrie Mae Walden & Bonnie
Smiddy. Survivors: wife, Reba Walden; daughters & sons-in-law, Rebecca & Doug
Clanton, Kimberly & Larry Graves, Dawn & Darrin Hatmaker; brothers, John T.
Walden, Mit Walden, Jr., Larry Walden, all of LaFollette; sisters, Betty
Donald, Maryville, Ruby Dupuy, LaFollette, Della Lambert, Speedwell;
grandchildren, Whitney & Eric Clanton, Chelsea, Trevor & Trent Walden Graves,
Kaleigh, Hannah & Nichole Hatmaker; a host of nieces & nephews. Funeral
service 7:00 p.m. Tuesday Fincastle United Methodist Church Dr. David Lord,
Rev. Darryl Rose officiating. Family & friends will meet at Woodlawn Cemetery
for 10:00 a.m. interment Wednesday. The family will receive friends 5 to 7
p.m. Tuesday at the church. Arrangements by Cross Funeral Home.
