McGHEE, JODY LYNDE - 29, of Knoxville, passed away peacefully May 17, 2000.
He lived at home with his family. He was a member of North Shore Baptist
Church. Survived by his parents, Paul and Connie McGhee Jones and several
close friends; Pat, Mary, Betty, Hazel Knipe, Hazel Phillips, Barbara, Larry,
Dan Bell, Mike, and Charles and Jimmy Smith. The family will receive friends
in the Chapel of the Anderson County Funeral Home in Clinton, Sat., May 20,
2000 from 11a.m. to 1 p.m. with funeral service at 1 p.m., James Pellom
officiating. Family and friends will meet at the Strawberry Plains Cemetery
for interment following the funeral service. Pallbearers: Chris Reichert,
Matt Needham, Wade Needham, Mike Garrison, Everett Culbert, Larry Rowlette,
and James Smith. Arrangements by Anderson County Funeral Home.

STOOKSBURY, ROY "R.C.", - age 69, of Clinton, passed away Thursday, May 18,
2000, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Knoxville. He was a member of Sinking
Springs United Methodist Church. He was a United States Army Veteran who
served in the Korean War. Preceded in death by son, Dan Stooksbury; parents,
Lon& Zena Mitchell Stooksbury; brother, Lon Stooksbury, Jr.; sister, Blondell
Wade. Born June 7, 1930, in Anderson County. Survivors: wife of 47 years,
Rosella Tindell Stooksbury of Clinton; daughter, Janet & Rusty Chambers of
Clinton; sisters, Hazel Lee Pitts of Knoxville, Ruby Nelson of Clinton,
Bernice Schaeffer of Mechanicsburg, Ohio; Frankie Dean Sexton of Dayton,
Ohio; brothers, Bobby, Bill & Allen Stooksbury, all of Andersonville, Dallas
Stooksbury of Clinton, Earl Stooksbury of Oak Ridge; brother-in-law, Jack &
Norma Tindell of Clinton; grand-daughter, Allison Chambers of Clinton;
grandson, Daniel Chambers of Clinton; several nieces; nephews; and a host of
friends. The family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., Saturday, May 20,
2000, at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton with funeral service following
at 8:00 p.m., in the chapel with Rev. Katherine Nance officiating. Interment
will be held 2:00 p.m., Sunday, at Norris Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will
be Bill Alley, Howard Words, Carl Mayes, Leo Warwick, Greg Tindell & Bob
Stooksbury. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home of Clinton in charge of all
arrangements.
