Subject: [TNCAMPBE-L] PLEASE VOTE - Queries & Mailing List
Date: Mon, 10 Apr 2000 14:43:17 -0400

Hello Everyone,

If you are a member of several Rootsweb mailing lists, you probably already
know that the folks at Rootsweb and GenConnect have provided a mechanism for
allowing automatic posting of queries from the GenConnect query boards to
the mailing lists. I am a member of several lists, some which utilize this
new feature while others do not. Some folks like having the queries
automatically posted to the list; while others feel that if they wanted to
read the queries, they just visit the query boards.

Jennifer Dorner, our listowner, and I have talked about it and have decided
to let YOU decide if you would like to have this feature added to the
Campbell Mailing list or not. We will do whatever the majority decides. So
it is imperative that you vote. In order to vote, simply reply to this
message. On the first line, put "YES" if you would like to see the queries
come automatically to the list. Or put "NO" if you would not like to see the
queries come automatically to the list.

Here are some points to ponder before making your decision.

1. About 20 new queries are posted to the query boards a week. That mean 20
additional mail messages for those of you who are subscribed in mail mode
format. (That is, you belong to ). It will not effect
the number of posts that you receive if you are subscribed in digest mode
(ie ).

2. Some of you are already subscribed to the Query board and receive an
email whenever a new query is posted. If the list decides to have the
queries posted to the mailing list, you will receive each query twice. This
can easily be fixed. Email me and I will remove your name from the query
board list. If you decide to leave the list, you can alway resubscribe to
the query board at any time.

Please consider voting. It only takes a minute. Please DO NOT send your vote
to the mailing list. Send it directly to me.
