BAKER, R. WALTER - age 83, Clinton passed away March 22, 2000, at Methodist
Medical Center. He was born October 2, 1916 in Dillsboro, North Carolina. He
was a retired electrician from Rust Engineering in Oak Ridge. He was a member
of Clinton Second Baptist Church, I.B.E.W. Local #270 in Oak Ridge, Dillsboro
Masonic Lodge #459 in Sylva, North Carolina, and Knoxville Scottish Rite
Temple. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He is preceded in death by
parents; Jess and Dovie Conner Baker; brothers, Hershel, Frank, Fred, Harry,
and Roy Baker. Survivors: wife for 61 years, Edna Branton Baker, Clinton;
daughter, Barbara G. Baker, Clinton; sons, Rick and wife Susan Baker,
Mooresville, NC, Bob and Jackie Baker, Roseville, Calif.; grandchildren,
Robert S. and wife, Tammy Baker, Lancaster, Calif., Angie and husband,
Brandon Tyner, Vilonia, Ark.; great grandchildren, Rheagan Tyner, Brenden S.
Baker; step grandchildren, Debra, Richard, Donna, and Randy; sister, Sara
McMahan, Monroe, NC; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services 11 a.m.
Friday, March 24, 2000, at the Holley-Gamble Chapel with Rev. Ronald Guthrie
officiating. Interment with Masonic Service will follow at McCarty Woodhaven
Memorial Garden. Family will receive friends Thursday, March 234, 2000 from
7-9 p.m. at Holley Gamble Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to American
Heart Fund. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton in charge of all
arrangements.

SEIBER, DONALD LYNN - age 40, a resident of Racine, Wisconsin, passed away
Tuesday, March 21, 2000 at Lincoln Lutheran Home in Racine following a long
and courageous battle with brain cancer. Mr. Seiber was born March 20, 1960
in Oak Ridge, to Beacher Seiber and Helen Phillips Seiber. He lived on New
River and attended Rosedale Elementary School. Before his own illness he
assisted in the care of his father and mother through their battles with
cancer. He enjoyed sports, the Cleveland Browns, and Tennessee Vols were his
favorite football teams, however while living in Wisconsin he also became a
fan of the Green Bay Packers. He loved sprint car racing, was an avid
fisherman, gardening was his favorite hobby and he always love going back to
his home, the beautiful state of Tennessee. Survivors: sisters, Sharon Stefka
and husband, Mike of Racine, Wis., Janet Tworek and husband, Peter of Tinley
Park, Ill., Brenda Sharp and husband, Ronnie of Racine, Wis., Mary Hoegsted
and husband, Kris of Union Grove, Wis.; brother, James Sieber and wife, Annie
of Port Richey, Fla.;neices, Jennifer Alfonso and husband, Erick of Tampa,
Fla., Melissa Ginsberg and husband, Charlie of Richmond, Va., Tara Lynn
Seiber of Phoenix, Ariz.; nephews, Steven Gifford and wife, Jolene of Racine,
Wis., Geoffrey Pfeiffer of Racine, Wis., Eddie Albertson of Arvada, Colo.,
Kristopher, Amanda, and Samantha Hoegsted of Union Grove, Wis.; great
nephews, Zackery Seiber of Richmond, Va., Steven Alexander Gifford of Racine,
Wis. He is also survived by aunts; uncles; cousins; and numerous friends.
Donald was preceded in death by his father, Beacher Seiber and mother, Helen
Faye Phillips Lemmon, and by his grandparents, Rossie and Laura Seiber,
Burley and Lina Phillips. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 25,
2000 at 11 a.m. at Tuppertown Baptist Church, with Rev. Frank Sexton and Rev.
Ralph Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at the Petros Cemetery. Friends
may call Friday March 24, between the hours of 6:30- 8:30 p.m. at Sharp
Funeral Home. Sharp Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements

YOUNG, ERNEST LEE - age 71, of LaFollette, passed away Tuesday March 21,
2000, at his home. He was a member of West LaFollette Baptist Church and
Stooksbury Masonic Lodge #602 F&AM. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean
Conflict. Preceded in death by parents, J.R. and Elizabeth Young; son,
Darrell Ray Young; brother, Archie Young; and sisters, Thelma Miller and Edna
Wakeman. Survivors: wife, Maxine Young of LaFollette; son, Steven D. Ford of
Lake City; daughters, Terri Job of Lake City (Cherry Bottom), Susan Kay
Elliott of LaFollette, Nancy Carolyn Young of Dayton, Ohio; 8 grandchildren;
3 great grandchildren; brothers, Jack Young of Lancaster, Texas, Maurice
Young of Casa, Ark.; sister, Louise Dunn of Dixon, Ill. Funeral services 12
noon Friday March 24, 2000 at Cross Chapel. Rev. Hobert McCreary, Rev. Harold
Robbins, and Bro. Carl Bradshaw officiating. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery. The
family will receive friends Friday 10-11:45 a.m. Masonic Services with Lodge
#602 F&AM to follow. Arrangements by Cross Funeral Home.
