Found a great site- from the Bureau of Land Management... and it is geneology
researcher friendly!

If your ancestors bought land, chances are, you will find the info here. But
to increase your chances of finding the info, please put % after the first
and last names. For example-

Patentee Last name- Tucker%
Patentee First name- John%

This serves like a soundex, looking for any similar names. As we well know,
sometimes names are misspelled on documents!

Oh, keep in mind that county boundaries changed over the years, so look in
all counties of the state, so you don't overlook anything!

By the way, they even provide a copy of the original document of sale, which
you can download!
