I guess I confused alot of people so here is the scoop.......
I guess I wasn't too clear because I have gotten alot of questions about

this, but here goes. I need to make a master copy on paper of the film.

This means I have to go to the archives to use their microfilm copier.
It
makes copies of each page on large paper. (I enlarge it to make it
easier
to read and therefore more accurate.) That will cost me 25 cents per
page
and there are aproximately 627 pages in all for volumes of this record.
Since the pages are not numbered, this is my best guess based on trying
to
count them while on the microfilm reader. So this is why the master
copy
is going to cost me $156.75. Then I have to make copies of this master
for
the transcribers and those who just would like a copy. The copies will
cost about $37.68 for 1 set. I had hoped to defer the cost of the
master
by divided that cost among those who wanted a copy either for themselves

and or to help transcribe. This however may not be necessary since a
bunch
of people have already pledged $75 toward getting the master so it can
be
transcribed and uploaded to the Smith County website where everyone can
access it for free instead of wanting a copy just for themselves. Have
I confused you more?
