ELLISON, GLEN EDWARD - age 70, of Oak Ridge, died on Sunday, December 5, 1999
at Briarcilff Health Center. Born in Dandridge on June 4, 1929. Worked as a
Postal Carrier for 37 years. Currently worked for Viking Equipment in
Knoxville. A Veteran with the US Army during WWII and the Korean Conflict.
Survivors include sons, Gary Lynn Ellison of Nashville, Larry R. Ellison and
wife Anne of Columbia, Md.; sisters, Peggy Soard and husband Harold of Lenoir
City, Joyce Surowitz of Virginia Beach, Va.; 2 grandchildren. Military
graveside service will be held Wednesday, Dec. 8, 1999, 10 a.m. at Anderson
Memorial Gardens with Rev. Michael Woods officiating. The family will receive
friends Tuesday, 6-9 p.m. at Weatherford Mortuary.

GLANDON, MYRA JANE McCONKEY - age 38, of Clinton, passed away Wednesday,
December 2, 1999. She was a member of West Park Baptist Church in Knoxville.
She was employed by Lockheed Martin in Oak Ridge where she had worked prior
to her illness as a CPA. Myra was a devoted mother and loved spending time
with daughters. She was an avid UT Vol fan. She loved all outdoor activities.
She was a graduate of Clinton High School and University of Tennessee where
she graduated with honors. Preceded in death by brother, Mark McConkey;
grandparents, James L. & Ruth McConkey and Elmer & Nancy Hooks. Survivors:
daughters, Vanessa Glandon & Jessica Glandon, both of Clinton; parents, James
& Patsy McConkey of Clinton; sister, Donna Smith & husband George of
Knoxville; nieces & nephews, G.H. Smith, Kendra Smith, Betheney Smith, &
David Smtih; several aunts, uncles, and a host of friends to mourn her
passing. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, December 7, 1999
at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton with funeral service following at 8
p.m. in the chapel with Rev. Katherine Nance & Rev. Bill Gowder officiating.
Interment will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 8, 1999 at Grandview
Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to American Association Study
Headaches, 10 Mentua Rd., Mount Royal, NJ 08061 (telephone number,
856-423-0043). Holley-Gamble Funeral Home of Clinton in charge of
arrangements.

LANE, JEFFREY SCOTT - age 36, of Lake City, passed away Sunday December 5,
1999 at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge. Mr. Lane was a member of the
Beach Grove Baptist Church. He was a loving husband and father and will be
deeply missed by all who knew him. He enjoyed hunting and Winston Cup Racing.
He was employed by Eagle Bend Manufacturing. Born October 21, 1963 in Oak
Ridge to James Marshall and Jean Hale Lane by whom he is survived. Survivors:
wife, Chris Ann Foust Lane of Lake City; son, Joshua Scott Lane of Lake City;
daughter, Ashton Nicole Lane of Lake City; brothers, James and wife Gwen of
Clinton, Bobby and wife Dawn of Powell; sisters, Teresa Coada of Lake City,
Barbara Wilson of Lake City, Betsy Powers of Lake City; several nieces and
nephews and a host of friends. The funeral service will be Tuesday December
7, 1999 at 8 p.m. in the chapel of Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Lake City
with Rev. Tom Byrge officiating. Graveside services will be Wednesday
December 8, 1999 at 11 a.m. at the Clinch River Baptist Church Cemetery. The
family will receive friends 6-8 Tuesday at the funeral home. Holley-Gamble
Funeral Home Lake City in charge of arrangements.

MAY, ROSEL LOCKETT - age 74, of Oak Ridge and formerly of Clinton, died
Saturday, December 4, 1999 at NHC Health Care. Retired/ Southern Bell
Telephone Company where she was a repair service clerk. Member of United
Methodist Church of Clinton and of the Telephone Pioneers Club. Preceded in
death by parents, L.C. and Lillie Braden Lockett; sister, Oneida L. Walters;
brother-in-law, Glitz Brown, both in 1996. Survived by: son, Michael May and
wife Margaret of Nashville; daughter, Marilyn Rose May Smith and husband
Terry of Ridgefield, Conn; sister, Wanda L. Brown of Oak Ridge;
brother-in-law, Fletch Walters of Clinton; grandchildren, Peyton Smith of
Charleston, SC, Thomas Smith of Ridgefield, Conn., Megan May and Zachary
Carter May of Nashville; niece, Judy Rhyne of Clinton; numerous cousins. At
her request, her body has been donated to the University of Tennessee Medical
School of Memphis, and there will be no funeral services. Memorials may be
made to the Arthritis Foundation, 212 Peters Rd. Knoxville, TN 37923.

MAYES, BLANCHE SELF - age 77, of Clinton, passed away Monday, December 6,
1999 at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge. She was a member of Clinton
First Baptist Church. Blanche was a member of Oak Ridge Eastern Star. Born
June 4, 1922 in Persia, Tenn. Preceded in death by parents, John & Mary Belle
Mooney Self. Survivors: husband, Carl Walter Mayes, Sr. of Clinton; son, C.W.
Mayes of Andersonville; daughters, Pat Albertini & husband Joe of
Andersonville, Doris "Doodles" Mayes of Clinton; sister, Peggy Phillips of
Bulls Gap; brothers, John Self & wife, Dot of Knoxville, Ralph Self & wife
Unavie of Knoxville; grandchildren, Michael & Michelle Davis, Walter, Manda,
& Robert Mayes, Elizabeth Moore; great grandson, Jared Moore; sevearl nieces,
nephews, & a host of friends. The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m.
Tuesday, December 2, 1999, at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton.
Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 8, 1999 at
Grandview Memorial Gardens with Rev. Sam Dean officiating. Holley-Gamble
Funeral Home of Clinton in charge of all arrangements.
