I need the assistance of some experts. I wrote the National Archives about
my great-grandfather's pension records. I received a reply from them stating
that the files are in the legal custody of the office of Veterans Affairs. It
also stated that I should contact my local office. They included an address.

I wrote to them in August requesting copies of the files. Included in my
letter was a copy of Veteran's Administration Circular DVB-20-78-4 that was
sent by the National Archives. This memo explains the procedures to obtain
these files.

As of today, I still have not heard any reply. Has anyone else had this
problem or can give me further advice.
