CAIN, MRS. MARIE Z. - age 81, of Jacksboro, passed away Sunday, Nov. 14,
1999, at UT Medical Center, Knoxville. She was retired from Imperial Reading
Corp. She was an active member of the Jacksboro First Baptist Church and the
Church Senior Citizens, the Jacksboro FCE Club and Hope Council #95,
Daughters of America. Preceded in death by husband, James Franklin Cain in
1993; parents, John and Mary Dusini Zauboni; and most recently by sister,
Margaret Z. Hatmaker. Survivors: son and daughter-in-law, John and Wanda
Cain, Jacksboro; niece, Mary Margaret Miller, Johnson City; stepson, Jim
Cain, Cherry Bottom Community; two step-grandchildren; one
step-great-grandchild; and one step-great-great-grandchild; special friends,
Gary, Penny, and Jody Hatmaker, Jacksboro; several other relatives and
friends. Funeral service Tuesday, 8 p.m. at Jacksboro First Baptist Church
with Dr. Charles Parker, Rev. C.H. Robinson and Rev. Larry Reeves
officiating. Family and friends will meet Wednesday 10 a.m. at Jacksboro
Cemetery for interment. Family requests that memorials be sent to the
Jacksboro First Baptist Church. Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m.
Tuesday before services at Jacksboro First Baptist Church. Walters Funeral

CARDEN, ERNEST LOU - age 77, of Clinton, passed away Sunday, November 14,
1999 at the Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge. She was a member of Bethel
Baptist Church. Preceded in death by parents, Ernest Lincoln & Eliza Bell
Webb Carden; sister, Grace Seeber; brother, Billy B. Carden. Survivors:
sister, Margaret Carden of Clinton; brothers, Everette Carden & wife, Dorothy
of Heiskell, Joe Carden & wife, Mary Lou of Clinton, Bobby Carden & wife,
Mary Nell of Clinton; sister in law, Evelyn Carden of Clinton; brother in
law, Earl Seeber of Andersonville, several nieces, nephews & a host of
friends. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m., Tuesday, November 16,
1999 at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton. Graveside services will be
held 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 17, 1999 at Bethel Cemetery. Holley-Gamble
Funeral Home of Clinton in charge of all arrangements.
HERRON, MRS. MARY NELLE - age 77 passed away Sunday, Nov. 14, 1999 at Fort
Sanders Parkwest Medical Center. She was a native of Anderson County and
daughter of the late John Walter and Maude Grills Garrison. Mrs. Herron
retired after 41 years from Palm Beach Clothing Manufacturing Company. She
was a member of Beaver Ridge Eastern Star and of the Baptist faith. She was
preceded in death by her husband, Howard S. Herron. She is survived by her
loving family, daughter, Gae Stooksbury and husband, Steve; son, Ronald
(Butch) Herron and wife, Judy; grandchildren, Rodney Herron all of Knoxville,
Anne Hussung and husband, Bo of Nashville and 2 great grandchildren, Brennan
and Baxter Hussung of Nashville; Mrs. Herron is at Highland Memorial Funeral
Home, 5315 Kingston Pike where the family will receive friends Tuesday from
6-8 p.m. funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday from the funeral home
chapel with Rev. Philip Nation officiating. Interment Highland Memorial
Cemetery. Arrangements by Highland Memorial Funeral Home, 588-0567
PORCH, MARIAN JEAN - age 70, formerly of Clinton, passed away Sunday, Nov.
14, 1999, at the NHC Healthcare Center of Oak Ridge. She was of the Catholic
faith. Preceded in death by parents, Hector and Charlotte McCreery.
Survivors: daughters, Suzanne and Eugene Dent of Powell, Nancy and Anthony
DeSantis of Bound Brooks, N.J., Donna and Matthew McConnell of Clinton, Lori
and David Puzio of Stanhope, N.J., Kimberly Porch of Southbound, Brooks,
N.J.; sisters, Karen Ridenour of LaFollette, Joan Mehl of Florida; brother,
Robert McCreery of Mesa, Ariz.; 12 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter;
several nieces, nephews and a host of friends. The family will receive
friends 6-7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 18, 1999, at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in
Clinton with memorial service following at 7 p.m. in the chapel with Father
Dan Whitman officiating. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home of Clinton in charge of
all arrangements.
