GENTRY, JAMES, JR., age 63 of Lake City, passed away Sunday, October 10, 1999
at Methodist Medical Center. He was a member of Island Home Baptist Church.
He retired from Stein Construction Company in Chattanooga as a welder.
Preceded in death by mother, Perley Green Gentry; sister, Ruth Adams.
Survivors: wife, Mildred Sue Forrester Gentry of Lake City; daughter, Kathy &
Rick Fields of Lake City; sons, Michael & Sandra Gentry of Look Out, Mt.,
Ga., Mark & Pam Gentry of Ooltewah, Tenn.; grandchildren, Jennifer, Heather &
Matthew Fields, Michael, Melissa & Connie Ann Gentry, Mark Gentry, Jr.,
Danielle & Jessica Wright; father, James W. Gentry, Sr., of Ft. Oglethorpe,
Ga; brother, Charles Gentry of Chattanooga; sisters, Frances McClure,
Beatrice Banther & Dorothy Davis, all of Chattanooga; several nieces &
nephews and a host of friends. The family will receive friends 7:00-8:30 p.m.
Tuesday, October 12, 1999, at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton with
funeral service following at 8:30 p.m. in the chapel with Rev. Calvin Braden
officiating. Interment will be held 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, October 13th, at
Grandview Memorial Gardens. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home of Clinton in charge
of all arrangements.
HATMAKER, MARIE age 53 of Lake City, passed away Saturday, October 9, 1999 at
the Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge. She was a member at Clinch River
Baptist Church in Lake City. She was born February 26, 1946. She is preceded
in death by her father, Boyd Carl Webster; father-in-law, Elbert Hatmaker;
sister, Judy Carolyn Webster. Survivors: husband, Douglas E. Hatmaker of Lake
City; daughter, Vickie and husband Phillip Cyr of Lake City; mother, Lucy
Geneva Bolinger Webster; grandson, Johnathan Douglas Cyr of Lake City;
sisters, Willie Ruth and husband, James Parks of Lake City, Martha and
husband, Terry McIntosh of Chattanooga, Tenn.; brothers, Carl and wife,
Dorothy Webster of Vandalia, Ohio, Arvin and wife, Bonnie Webster of
Indianapolis, Indiana, David and Margetta Webster of Albuquerque, New Mexico;
mother-in-law, Dorothy Hatmaker of Lake City; sister-in-law, Patricia Sykes;
brothers-in-law, Mike and wife, Dana Hatmaker, Kevin Hatmaker; several nieces
and nephews and a host of friends. The family will receive from 6:00-8:00
p.m., Monday, October 11, 1999 at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Lake City.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 12, 1999 at Clinch
River Baptist Church in Lake City with the Rev. Tom Byrge and Rev. Larry
Webster officiating. Interment will follow the funeral service at Clinch
river Baptist Church Cemetery. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Lake City in
charge of arrangements
ORICK, CHARLES EDWARD, 71 of Caryville, passed away Saturday Oct. 9, 1999 at
the UT Medical Center in Knoxville. Mr. Orick was an elder & member of Ivey
Grove Missionary Baptist Church. A retired coal miner of 37 yrs. He loved his
family very much. Preceded in death by parents, Lawrence & Icie Orick; son,
Charles Edward, Jr. & a brother, Aubrey Orick. Survivors, wife of 53 yrs.,
Shirley Goad Orick, Caryville; sons & daughters in law, Curtis & Linda Orick,
LaFollette, Rusty & Donna Orick, Jacksboro, Mike Orick, Caryville & Fiancee,
Jennifer Cornett. Daughters & sons in law, Charolette & Stanley Foster,
LaFollette, Shelia & Jimmy Rutherford, Peggy & Jimmy Elkins, Debbie & Bill
Wilson, & Cindy & Jeff Wright, all of Jacksboro, Saundra & Steve Perkins,
