CHARLES ARTHUR ARMS, 57, of Evans Road, Jacksboro, died Monday, September 27
at the LaFollette Medical Center. He was owner and operator of Caryville
Surplus Sales, and a 32nd Degree Mason and member of the Caryville Masonic
Lodge ##663 F & AM. He was preceded in death by; parents, James Samuel and
Myrtle Owens Arms. Survivors include; wife, Joanne Nease Arms. Funeral
services were held Wednesday September 29 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.
Interment will follow today (Thursday) at 2 p.m. in Campbell Memorial Gardens.
EVA PIERCE AUSMUS, 89, of LaFollette, died Monday, September 27. She was a
retired Campbell County school teacher. She was preceded in death by;
husband, Charles Ausmus. Funeral services were held Wednesday, September 29
at Cross Funeral Home with Dr. David Lord and Dr. David Vaughn officiating.
Interment will follow today (Thursday), September 30, at 10 a.m. in Woodlawn
Cemetery.
TROY AUSMUS, 72, of LaFollette, died Sunday, September 12 at the LaFollette
Medical Center. He was owner and operator of Troy's Garage and Radiators for
24 years. He was preceded in death by: parents, Henry and Lelie Dunn Ausmus.
Survivors include; wife, Irene Ausmus. Funeral services were held Monday,
September 13 in Martin Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Howard Tapp and Rev.
Allen Meyers officiating. Interment followed Tuesday, September 14 in Beeler
Cemetery, Speedwell.
GRACE P. HATFIELD AYERS, 73, of LaFollette, died Saturday, September 25 at
St. Mary's Medical Center, Knoxville. She was retired from Imperial Reading
Corporation. She was preceded in death by; husbands, James C. Williams , and
Charley Alonzo Ayers; parents, Asbury and Florence Ada Marcum Hatfield.
Funeral services were held Monday, September 27 at Walters Funeral Home
Chapel with Rev. Anwar Accawi officiating. Interment followed Tuesday,
September 28 in Woodlawn Cemetery.
GEORGIA BALLARD, 81, of Lakeland, Michigan, died Thursday, September 16 at
St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, Ann Arbor. She was a Retired Teachers Association,
Michigan Porcelain Painters, and Order of the Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by ; parents, Hugh and Belle (Lumpkins) McNeeley;
husband, Arvid W. Ballard.
Funeral services were held Sunday, September 19 at Monroe Missionary Baptist
Church with Rev. Damon Patterson officiating. Interment followed in Roselawn
Memorial Park, LaSalle.
CLARENCE BRIDGES, 69, of Lake City, died Friday, September 24 at the Baptist
Hospital in Knoxville. He was a member of the National Guard. He is preceded
in death by; parents, Harvey and Lula Bridges. Survivors include; wife,
Christine Nolan Bridges. Funeral services were held Sunday. September 26 at
Cox-Martin Funeral Home Chapel with O.P. Byrd and Carl Sharp officiating.
Interment followed in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
FLOSSIE ELLISON, 88, of Pioneer, died Monday, September 27 at LaFollette
Medical Center.
She was preceded in death by; husband, John Ellison. Funeral services were
held Wednesday, September 29 at Walters Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Earl
Powers officiating. Interment will follow today (Thursday) at 10 a.m. in
Pleasant View Cemetery.
JOHNNY DAVID HICKS, 50, of Blythewood, South Carolina, died Monday, September
20 at Palmetto Baptist Medical Center. He was self-employed in Home
Improvement. He was preceded in death by; father, James Ted Hicks. Survivors
include; wife, Mary Williams Hicks; mother, Welthia Bowling Hicks of
LaFollette. Funeral services were held Wednesday, September 22 at Greenlawn
Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in Greenlawn memorial Park.
THELMA FRANCES KING, 66, of Clairfield, died Thursday, September 23 at the
University of Tennessee Medical Center, Knoxville. She is survived by;
husband, Dewey King.
Funeral services were held Sunday, September 26 at the White Oak Church of
God with Rev. Paul Cox officiating. Interment followed in Kemplen Cemetery.

STANLEY E. MARLOW, 46, of Murrayville Road, LaFollette, died Thursday,
September 23 at the Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge. He is survived by;
wife, Carolyn Rutherford Marlow; father, Ralph Marlow of Jellico; mother,
Ligia Terry Kitts of Jacksboro. uneral services were held Sunday, September
26 at Martin's Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Junior Dilbeck and Rev. Jeff
Bolton officiating. Interment followed in Bakers Forge Cemetery.
NEOMA E. STARRETT, 94, of South 8th Street, LaFollette, died Friday,
September 24 at the LaFollette Medical Center. She was preceded in death by;
husband, Andrew Honey Starrett; parents, Thomas and Lillie Mason Edmond.
Funeral services were held Sunday, September 26 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel
with Rev. Don Reynolds and Rev. Wesley Mattie officiating. Interment followed
Monday, September 27 in Woodlawn Cemetery.
ARNOLS STEP, 66, of Corbin, Kentucky, formerly of Campbell County, died
Wednesday, September 22 at his home. He was a Veteran of the Korean conflict.
He was preceded in death by; father, Thomas Walter Stepp. Survivors include;
mother, Grace Stepp; brothers, Eddie Stepp and Marshall Stepp; sister, Sis
Lovette of LaFollette; son, Jerry Lester Stepp. Interment was in the
Veteran's Cemetery, Knoxville.
ROY E. TEAGUE, 49, of Cromwell, Indiana, formerly of Jellico, died Monday,
September 20 at McCray Memorial Hospital in Kendallville. He is survived by;
father, Ben Teague of Churubusco, Indiana.
Graveside services were held Wednesday, September 22 at Woodlawn Cemetery,
LaFollette with Rev. Billy Carpenter officiating. Interment followed in
Woodlawn Cemetery.
BOBBY RAY VAN, 54, of Jacksboro, died Monday, September 27, at the LaFollette
Medical Center. He was a United States Army Vietnam veteran. He was preceded
in death by; father, Woodrow Vann. Survivors include; mother, Lucille Vann of
LaFollette. Funeral services will be held today (Thursday), September 30 at 8
p.m. at Cross Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Ray Wilson officiating. Interment
will follow Friday, October 1 at 11 a.m. in Campbell Memorial Gardens.
BOBBY LEE WILLIAMSON, 62, of Duff, died Sunday, September 26 at Jellico
Community Hospital. He was a member of Melrose Masonic Lodge, Norwood, Ohio
and a US Navy veteran. He was preceded in death by; parents, Robert and
Virginia Williamson. Survivors include; wife, Eunice Williamson. Funeral
services were held Wednesday, September 29 at Cross Funeral Home Chapel with
Rev. Tim Dupuy officiating. Interment followed in Woodlawn Cemetery.
BOBBY GENE WILSON, Sr., 63, of Knoxville, formerly of Stoney Fork, died
Friday, September 24, at University of Tennessee Medical Center. He was Post
Master of Burlington Lodge #763 F.& A.M., member of Scottish Rites and York
Rites. He was retired from House Hasson Hardware. Mr. Wilson was preceded in
death by; parents, Johnny H. and Dorothy Newport Wilson. Survivors include;
former wife, Ida Mae Hill of Knoxville./
Funeral services were held Tuesday, September 28 at Beechfork Baptist Church
with Rev. Lee Phillips officiating. Interment followed in Beechfork Cemetery.
