CLOTFELTER, KATHERINE MCCULLEY - age 75, of LaFollette, passed away Monday,
August 16, at LaFollette Medical Center. She was a member of House of Prayer
and Praise Church. Preceded in death by parents, Harrison and Belle McCulley;
son, John Harrison; daughter, Louise Wright; brothers, Jim and Virgil
McCulley; sisters, Frankie McCulley, Faye Powers, and Rhoda Wilhoit.
Survivors: husband, John Clotfelter; sons, Frank of LaFollette, Delbert of
Loudon; daughters, Mary Lane, LaFollette, Shirley Martin, Margaret Riggs,
both of Jacksboro; sisters, Marie Johnson, Ruby Henley, both of LaFollette;
13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren. Funeral service 2 p.m. Wednesday,
August 18, at House of Prayer and Praise Church, Rev. Charles Lovely
officiating. Interment Walters Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8
p.m. Tuesday, August 17, at Cross Funeral Home. Arrangements by Cross Funeral
Home.

NELSON, ELLIS - age 96, of Lake City, passed away Tues., Aug. 17, 1999, at
the Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge. He was a member of Clear Branch
Baptist Church. He was born Oct. 20, 1902, in Anderson Co. to the late
William Bill and Berline Patterson Nelson. Survivors: wife, Sadie Nelson of
Lake City; son, Bobby Nelson and wife, Helen of Lake City, Ray Nelson and
wife, JoAnn of Clinton; sister, Billie Boggs of Lake City; sister-in-law,
Winifred Nelson of Lake City; grandchildren, Donald Glen Nelson of Lake City,
Janine and Lee Burriss of Lake City, Kimberly Michele and James Hill of
Clinton; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of
friends. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wed., Aug. 18, 1999,
at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Lake City with funeral service following at
8 p.m. in the chapel with Rev. Donald Douglas and Rev. Don Martin
officiating. Interment will be held 11 a.m. Thurs., Aug. 19, 1999, in Leach
Cemetery. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home of Lake City in charge of all
arrangements.
