CLEO ADKINS, 85, of Lake City, died Sunday, July 18 at Methodist Medical
Center in Oak Ridge. He was an Army veteran of WWII. He was preceded in death
by parents, Taylor and Ollie Adkins. Survivors include wife, Joann Adkins.
Funeral services were held Monday, July 19 at Cox-Martin Funeral Home with
Rev. Floyd Scarborough officiating. Interment followed in Oak Grove Cemetery.
HENRY HARRISON COX, 52, of Dayton, Ohio, formerly of Jellico, died Monday,
July 5 at Franciscan Medical Center. He was a retired electrician at EG&G,
and past master of the Farmersville Masonic Lodge.
He was preceded in death by parents. Survivors include wife, Shirley Cox.
Masonic and funeral services were held Thursday, July 8 at Marker and Heller
Funeral Home in Huber Heights, Ohio. Interment followed in Royal Oak Memorial
Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Franciscan
Foundation Surgical Oncology Fund, One Franciscan Way, Dayton, OH 45408.
EVERETTE EUGENE CREEKMORE, 81, of Jellico, died Thursday, July 15 at Baptist
Hospital. He was a WWII veteran. Funeral services were held Monday, July 19
at Jellico Church of God Mountain Assembly with Rev. Jerome Walden, Rev.
Durand Dixon, and Rev. Ron Wilson officiating. Interment followed in the
Creekmore Family Cemetery. Llewellyn Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Military honors were provided by Campbell County Honor Guard.
BILLY WAYNE DISSPAYNE, 64, of Highlands, died Friday, July 9 at a local
hospice center. He was a retired heavy equipment operator. He also served in
the US Navy and was a member of Baytown Fine Rides.
Survivors include wife, Sharon Disspayne. Funeral services were held Sunday,
July 11 at Navarre Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Smith and Rev. Rusty Ellisor
officiating. Interment followed in Houston National Cemetery.
HERBERT H. HUNLEY, 80, of Oliver Springs, died Tuesday, July 13 at Life Care
Health Center in Wartburg. He was a US Army veteran of WWII where he received
a Victory medal. He was a retired coal miner. He was preceded in death by
parents, Charles C. and Minnie Daugherty Hunley. Funeral services were held
Friday, July 16 at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Lake City with Bro. Billy
Arnett officiating. Interment followed Saturday in Old Loyston Cemetery in
Andersonville.
NOAH SEIBERS, age 17 days, of Pioneer, died Thursday, July 15, at University
of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. He is survived by parents,
Chad and Jenna Seibers of Pioneer; grandparents, John and Devonia Ferguson of
LaFollette, Ed and Sue Seibers of Acworth, Georgia; great-grandparents, Jean
Murray and Agnes Ferguson, both of LaFollette. Funeral services were held
Saturday, July 17 at Martin Funeral Home with Rev. Delmus Bruce officiating.
Interment followed in Baird Cemetery, Elk Valley.
WILLIAM THOMAS WILSON, 70, of Jacksboro, died Saturday, July 17 at his home.
He was preceded in death by parents, McKinley and Daisie Reed Wilson; Funeral
services were held Monday, July 19 at Martin Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Ray
Wilson officiating. Interment followed Tuesday in Cumberland View Cemetery.
