JONES, EVELYN - age 65, of Caryville, passed away Monday, June 7, 1999 at Oak
Ridge Methodist Medical Center. She was a member of Central Baptist Church
Caryville. Survivors: husband, Rev. Wilbert Jones; daughters and sons-in-law,
Darlene and Freddie Wright of Caryville, Sharon Lowe of Clinton, Donna and
Terry Sharpe of Oak Ridge, Rhonda Jones of Rocklin, CA, Lisa and Marty
Kilbourne of Knoxville; brothers, Marshall Byrge, Clyde Byrge and Warren
Byrge, all of Jacksboro, James Byrge of Caryville and Robert Byrge of Elk
Valley; sisters, Ella Mae Boshears of Caryville, Carol Wells of Speedwell and
Joyce Swangin of Jacksboro; four grandsons, Jamie Wright, Eric Jones, Brandon
Lowe and Jonathan Sharpe; one granddaughter, Lyndsey Vowell. Funeral service
will be 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Cross Chapel, Rev. Edwin Phillips and Rev.
Joby Byrge officiating. Interment 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Campbell Memorial
Gardens. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Cross
Funeral Home, LaFollette.
LEINART, JENNIE JESSIE W. - age 96, of Dutch Valley in Clinton, passed away
Monday, June 7, 1999 at Fort Sanders Regional Hospital in Knoxville. She
attended Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and was an active member of Women's
Sunday school class. She was born in Clinton February 19, 1903. Preceded in
death by husband, Daniel Lester Leinart; daughter, Joyce Leinart Freeman;
brother, Truman Wallace; sisters, Ruby Wallace and Ruth McCary; parents,
Charlie and Martha E. Hendren Wallace. Survivors: son, Daniel Lester Leinart
of New Richmond, Ohio; 8 grandchildren, Donna Baker, James P. Freeman, Donna
Leinart, Everett C. Leinart, Daniel L. Freeman, Marie Webber, Joyce F.
Anderson and Charlene Leinart; 8 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Loreen
Bullock Leinart of Clinton; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services 8:30
p.m. Wednesday, June 9, 1999 at Holley-Gamble Chapel with Rev. H.P.
Barrington and Rev. Jimmy Davidson officiating. Interment 10:30 a.m.
Thursday, June 10, at Sunset Cemetery in Clinton. Pallbearers: James Freeman,
Daniel Freeman, Ron Anderson, Ronnie Leinart, Tony Leinart and Kenneth
Magill. Honorary Pallbearers: Briton Leinart and Rick Weber. The family will
receive friends 7:00-8:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 9, at Holley-Gamble Funeral
Home in Clinton.
