BOSHEARS, L. WHEELER - age 74, of Jacksboro, Tenn., passed away Friday, June
4, 1999, at the LaFollette Medical Center. He was a member of Mt. Paran
Missionary Baptist Church. Mr. Boshears taught school for 30 years. He was
preceded in death by his parents, Brown and Bertha Boshears. Mr. Boshears is
survived by his wife, Virginia Jarnigan Boshears; son and daughter-in-law,
Sammy and Diana Boshears; daughter, Vickie Boshears; grandchildren, Tiffany,
Cody and Rache' Boshears, all of Jacksboro; brothers, Harold, Hugh, Wade,
Eldon and Cal Boshears, all of Jacksboro, Morton Boshears, Alexandria, Va.;
sisters, Opal Phillips of Fort Washington, Md., Lillie Kidwell, Tampa, Fla.,
and Mary Hannah Riggs, Lake Butler, Fla.; several nieces and nephews; and a
host of other relatives and friends. Funeral 2 p.m. Monday, June 7, Mt. Paran
Baptist Church with Rev. Ron Williams officiating. Interment to follow at Mt.
Paran Cemetery. Body will lie in state at the church from 1-2 p.m. before
funeral. Family will receive friends 6-9 p.m. Sunday at Martin Funeral Home,
LaFollette.

HILL, VIVIAN BEATRICE - age 78, Marcia Drive, Clinton, passed away Saturday
at her residence. Member of Longfield Baptist Church, and longtime teacher of
the Adult Women's Sunday school class. Daughter of the late Lavater and
Katherine Loving; also preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Hill.
Survivors: daughters, Janice and her husband, Dick Cox of Clinton; sons, Jack
and his wife, JoAnn Hill of Lake City, Wayne and his wife, Vickie Hill of
Acworth, Ga.; grandchildren, Tammy Thatcher, Kevin Shipp, James Hill and John
Hill; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Mable Vinsant of Lake City, Leona
Reed of Clinton and Christine Smyth of Lake City; brother, Johnnie Loving of
Lake City; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service 8 p.m. Sunday,
Longfield Baptist Church, Rev. Harvey Sherlin officiating. Interment will be
11 a.m. Monday at Oak Grove Cemetery. Memorials may be made to American
Cancer Society, 871 Weisgarber Rd., Knoxville, TN 37909 or Longfield Baptist
Church, 249 Longfield Rd., Lake City, TN 37769. Family will receive friends
6-8 p.m. Sunday at the church prior to the funeral service. Holley-Gamble
Funeral Home, Clinton.
