Hello Everyone,

The 1860 Census is FINALLY complete and online. I still have to create the
"everyname" index. Maybe next week. The main page to the census is located
at
http://www.rootsweb.com/~tncampbe/census/1860in.html

There are four new cemeteries online (compliments of Mildred Collins
Wasser). They are the Sharp, Marlowe, Mt. Zion, and Hollifield Cemeteries.
Actually, the Hollifield Cemetery is a renamed section of the Mt. Zion
Cemetery. You will find links to these cemeteries on the cemetery page at

http://www.rootsweb.com/~tncampbe/cemetery/cem.html

As part of the Family Album page, there is a new picture online: Mary B.
Reynolds Langley (contributed by Susan Gouge Daughterty).

As part of the History Section, there have been several additions over the
past few weeks:

History of the Court House
http://www.rootsweb.com/~tncampbe/history/courthouse.html
Old Petition Naming 249 Powell Valley Settlers
http://www.rootsweb.com/~tncampbe/history/petition.html
Law Creating Campbell County
http://www.rootsweb.com/~tncampbe/history/law.html

These were extracted from Dr. Miller McDonalds book on the "History of
Campbell County, Tennessee USA." There will be many, many more articles
taken from his work and put online.

Mildred Collins Wasser found an article on the Communities of Campbell
County printed in the La Follette Press during Homecoming 1986. The La
Follette Press was kind enough to allow us to put it online. It is available
at

http://www.rootsweb.com/~tncampbe/history/comm.html

The Marriage Database is growing by leaps and bounds. Neal Byrge and Doyle
King have graciously contributed many, many records to the database. I
recently reconfigured it so that it will send "pages" of information instead
of the entire database. If you have any marriage records that you would like
to add, please feel free to do so.

Happy Hunting,
Mitzi Freeman
