Meade County (Ks) News Mar 191902

Died Sadie daughter of Robert and Sarah Dossett, died at her home in
Crooker Creek Township March 12. She was born in Campbell County,
Tennessee Feb 14, 1870 moving with her parents to this county in 1885,
where she has lived since.
Sarah wife of Robert Dossett died at her home in Crooker Creek Township
March 13. Mrs Dossett was born in Campbell Co Tn in 1837,
daughter of John and Nancy Morris Walker, was married to Robert Dossett
and moved to Newton Co Missouri in 1869 where they lived until 1885,
whre they moved to Meade County, Kansas, where they have since reside.
The daughter and mother took sick about two weeks ago, medical aid was
procurred and every effort was made to stay the ravages of the disease,
but to no avail, the daughter dying on the 12 and the mother the
following day
This is one of the sadder blow that ever befell a Meade County family
and the sympathy of our people go out to the father, brother and
daughter, who ar all that left at home.
It is sad indeed to see a family so suddenly bereft of two of its most
valuable members, but in this old world of change many are the woes and
heart aches, and amid all but one thing remains
to do-humbly bow to the inevitable and say, the will be done.
The funeral services of the mother and daughter were held at the M E
Church Friday after noon conducted by the Rev Reece after which they
were laid side by side in Graceland Cemetery united on earth reunited
in heaven.
